JOB DESCRIPTION: The Clinical Field Internship Program provides hands-on experience supporting Abbott’s Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) U.S. Commercial team. Interns will gain exposure to CRM therapies such as leadless pacemakers, defibrillators, and implantable cardiac monitors through customer-facing activities, procedural observation, structured training, and mentorship. The program is designed to prepare high-potential students for future opportunities within the Abbott CRM U.S. Commercial organization. Key Responsibilities: Clinical & Technical Support Participate in supervised clinical field activities, including CRM device implant observation and follow-up procedures Gain exposure to device programming, troubleshooting, and CRM technologies Customer Engagement Observe and participate in interactions with physicians, technicians, and hospital staff Build foundational skills in professional communication and relationship management within clinical environments Learning & Development Complete structured training in CRM therapies, products, and clinical applications Participate in cohort-based experience to foster peer learning, collaboration, and shared development Work closely with clinical mentors and field teams to build technical and professional capabilities Basic Qualifications: Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field Graduating in Winter 2027 or Spring 2028 Interest in clinical field roles and medical device industry Preferred Qualifications: Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced field environment Demonstrated interest in cardiology or clinical care settings Locations: Interns have the possibility of working in the following locations based on assignment: Corvallis, OR LA, CA Reno, NV Chicago, IL Cleveland, OH Boston, MA Jackson, MS Nashville, TN Cincinnati, OH St Louis, MO Dallas, TX Denver, CO Orlando, FL Greenville, SC Tampa, FL NJ Markets Philadelphia, NJ Central PA The base pay for this position is – In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
