Purpose: The Medical Affairs Protégé is a 12-month development programme designed to provide hands-on exposure to Medical Affairs, Medical Excellence, Medical Education, Compliance, and Patient Engagement within a global pharmaceutical organisation. This role offers an opportunity to develop foundational scientific, operational, and stakeholder management capabilities while supporting impactful medical initiatives that contribute to improved patient outcomes and responsible healthcare delivery. The position provides structured learning and practical experience across medical education, compliance governance, patient engagement, project coordination, and Medical Science Liaison (MSL) readiness under the guidance of experienced Medical Affairs professionals. You will be responsible for: Supporting the planning, coordination, execution, and evaluation of medical education programmes, scientific meetings, advisory boards, and Medical Affairs initiatives across therapeutic areas Collaborating with Medical Affairs colleagues and cross-functional stakeholders to manage project timelines, logistics, vendors, budgets, documentation, and activity follow-through Maintaining accurate, complete, and retrievable documentation to support governance requirements, compliance monitoring, audit readiness, and inspection preparedness Coordinating patient engagement activities, disease awareness initiatives, and collaborations with patient organisations while ensuring adherence to applicable policies and procedures Supporting the management of sponsorship requests, project approvals, contracts, documentation processes, and stakeholder communications for patient and medical programmes Collecting, analysing, and reporting data related to medical activities, educational programmes, project deliverables, and operational performance to support continuous improvement initiatives Assisting in literature reviews, evidence gathering, scientific content development, and preparation of balanced educational materials under appropriate medical supervision Participating in capability-building opportunities, mentoring sessions, cross-functional projects, and Medical Affairs development activities to strengthen readiness for future Medical Excellence or Medical Science Liaison roles Qualifications / Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Biomedical Science, Life Sciences, Medicine, Biotechnology, Public Health, Health Administration, or a related healthcare discipline Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; prior work experience is not required Strong interest in Medical Affairs, Medical Excellence, scientific engagement, patient-centred healthcare, compliance, or healthcare education Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to coordinate multiple projects, timelines, and stakeholders effectively Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders Ability to manage confidential information responsibly while following established procedures and compliance requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and digital collaboration tools Demonstrated learning agility, professionalism, integrity, initiative, and commitment to compliant, balanced, and non-promotional healthcare practices About Innovative Medicine Our expertise in Innovative Medicine is informed and inspired by patients, whose insights fuel our science-based advancements.
