Senior Director, Customer Delivery Unit (Oncology Portfolio Lead) We are seeking an exceptional Senior Director to lead end-to-end delivery across a large, complex global oncology portfolio. This is a highly visible leadership role with direct client engagement, offering the opportunity to influence strategy, execution and partnership success at scale. You will play a pivotal role in delivering innovative oncology therapies to patients worldwide by driving operational excellence, leading high-performing teams, and strengthening one of our most strategic global partnerships. What You’ll Do Portfolio Leadership & Delivery : Provide strategic oversight of a global oncology portfolio for a customer dedicated delivery unit, driving high-quality and cost-effective execution across multiple studies to accelerate patient access Cross-Functional Leadership : Lead integrated cross-functional teams across clinical, data, regulatory, and safety to ensure alignment, visibility and proactive risk management across the portfolio Client & Partnership Leadership : Serve as a senior executive partner to clients, building trusted relationships while leading escalations and critical discussions to drive effective decisions and outcomes Governance & Strategy : Represent Customer Delivery Unit in executive governance forums, influencing portfolio strategy, delivery models and long-term partnership success Operational Excellence : Drive standardization, innovation, and continuous improvement by embedding best practices and scalable processes to enhance delivery performance People Leadership : Lead and develop senior leaders, building high performing, engaged teams focused on accountability and growth Business Growth : Contribute to business development and strategic initiatives by providing operational insights that shape competitive, winning solutions What We’re Looking For 15+ years of experience in clinical development or clinical operations with deep oncology expertise Proven success leading large, global clinical portfolios with full operational and financial accountability Strong background in study leadership or clinical program delivery, with the ability to translate strategy into execution Demonstrated ability to operate at the executive level with clients, influencing decisions in complex environments Track record of building and leading high-performing, global teams Experience working within strategic partnerships or alliances preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (PhD, MD, PharmD, or MBA) strongly preferred Leadership Profile Visible, energizing leader who inspires teams and drives engagement Strong collaborator who fosters alignment and accountability across functions Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset Passionate about innovation, continuous improvement, and patient impact IQVIA is a leading global provider of clinical research services, commercial insights and healthcare intelligence to the life sciences and healthcare industries. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
