Your Impact The Vertex People Research and Analytics, Human Resources Co-op is a 6-month experiential training program for students currently working towards an undergraduate or advanced degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Data Analytics, Business, Statistics, Social Sciences, or a related fi. What you will be doing: The Human Resources team supports the organization by enabling a high-performing workforce and delivering programs that strengthen the employee experience. Within HR, the People Analytics team transforms workforce data into meaningful insights that help leaders understand trends, make informed decisions, and improve business and talent outcomes. Develop workforce reporting, dashboards, and analytics that provide timely and actionable insights. Conduct research and analysis on workforce trends, employee experience, talent, and organizational effectiveness. Participate in research activities, including data collection, literature reviews, analysis, and the development of findings and recommendations. Partner with HR and business leaders to translate questions into data-driven recommendations. Improve HR data quality, governance, and analytical capabilities. Explore new technologies and analytical methods, including AI, to make workforce insights more accessible and impactful. Key Responsibilities: Support People Analytics research projects by assisting with data collection, literature reviews, survey research, and background research under the guidance of team members. Prepare, organize, and validate workforce data for analysis while following established data privacy, quality, and governance practices. Perform basic quantitative and qualitative analyses to identify trends, patterns, and key insights. Assist in developing dashboards, reports, presentations, and research summaries that clearly communicate findings to HR stakeholders. Document analytical methods, assumptions, processes, and project outcomes to support consistency and knowledge sharing. Collaborate with People Analytics, HR, and business partners to understand project needs, incorporate feedback, and complete assigned deliverables. What you will need to succeed: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Data Analytics, Business, Statistics, Social Sciences, or a related field Interest in People Analytics, workforce research, employee experience, or the application of data to HR and business questions. Foundational quantitative and qualitative research skills, including the ability to organize information, analyze data, identify patterns, and summarize findings. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with foundational experience using Python and SQL for data extraction, cleaning, transformation, and analysis. Familiarity with data visualization, basic statistical analysis, survey data, or business intelligence tools is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, confidentiality, and responsible handling of sensitive workforce information. Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information in a concise and understandable manner. Ability to work collaboratively, manage assigned tasks, incorporate feedback, and learn in a fast-paced team environment. Legal authorization to work in the United States, now and in the future.
