As an R&D BI&T RWD Analyst II based out of our BMS Hyderabad you are part of the Portfolio and Strategy Operations & Real-World Data Strategy and Operations team that delivers data and analytics capabilities for Research and Development functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RWD functional domain, data engineering and reporting & operations and will be comfortable working with both structured and unstructured data. The role involves working with cross-functional teams to ensure that solutions are delivered on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including researchers, clinicians, market access and regulatory stakeholders, to understand data and platform needs and objectives for RWD analysis • Identify relevant real-world data from various sources, such as electronic health records (EHRs), claims databases, registries and other healthcare databases • Clean, transform, and preprocess real-world data to ensure data quality, consistency, and compatibility for analysis and downstream consumption • Apply appropriate techniques to analyze real-world data and generate insights on research questions or business objectives. • Oversee and conduct observational studies, comparative effectiveness research (CER), patient outcomes research and other types of RWD analysis to evaluate treatment outcomes, safety profiles, and healthcare utilization patterns • Interpret and communicate findings from RWD analysis through reports, presentations and visualizations to stakeholders • Collaborate across BMS to design RWD studies, including protocol development, data collection and analysis • Stay updated and compliant with the regulatory landscape related to real-world data analysis • Accountability of RWD strategies and best practices within BMS • Train, guide and mentor junior team members and business stakeholders as required Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Health Informatics, or a related discipline • Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in real-world data, platforms and analysis, within the biopharma or healthcare industry is a must • Experience with Python, R or SAS, Domino and data visualization tools, such as Tableau and Power BI, is a must • Strong understanding of real-world data sources, such as electronic health records (EHR), claims databases, registries and other healthcare databases is a must • Proficiency in data pre-processing, cleaning and transformation techniques to ensure data quality and compatibility for analysis is a must • Understanding data pipelines and operations for RWD is a must • Understanding of regulatory requirements and guidelines related to real-world data use, such as FDA's Real-World Evidence Program or similar initiatives • Should have strong inclination to automate tasks and highlight avenues for cost optimization • Working knowledge, inclination and ability to learn and implement new tools and AI use cases is preferred • Familiarity with methodologies and study designs used in real-world data analysis is preferred • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to derive meaningful insights from complex real-world data sets • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex concepts and findings • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and interpretation We hire for skills and capabilities, not just credentials – if this role excites you, but doesn’t perfectly match your resume, we encourage you to apply anyway.
