LabCorp is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Support Services Team Leader to join our team at Ascension Columbia St. Mary's Hospital - Ozaukee Campus in Mequon, WI. Work Schedule: 1st shift; Weekdays 8:30am -5:00pm with rotating weekends and holiday rotation Job Responsibilities: Assist in the supervision of the day to day operations of the core laboratory and blood bank clinical laboratory departments Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality Help lead the team in their daily processes and procedures Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing Oversee routing of specimens to their respective prep areas Encourage process improvements and best practices Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy Resolve any production errors as requested by management Research and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessary Engage in continuous process and service level improvements Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy Responsible for enforcing and managing policies and procedures Perform administrative duties as needed Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology 4 or more years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) OR 2 or more years or more of experienc e as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLS) Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology 2 years or more of experience as a generalist 2 years or more of experience in blood bank 1 year or more of experience supervising or leading a team ASCP or AMT certification Additional Job Standards: In lieu of education requirements listed above, non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may meet education requirement Strong working knowledge of CLIA, CAP and relevant state regulations Understanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office High level of attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skills Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to make decisions in a fast paced environment Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position Able to pass a standardized color blindness test Are you detail oriented, process focused, and enjoy leading others ?
