Position Overview We are seeking a motivated university student to support the Health Systems team in advancing initiatives related to health policy, health-system improvement, patient engagement and sustainability. This internship will provide exposure to how pharmaceutical organizations collaborate with healthcare providers, patient organizations, policymakers and other partners to improve patient care and strengthen health systems. The successful candidate will contribute to research, analysis, project coordination and the development of materials that support the team’s strategic priorities. This role is well suited to a university student interested in healthcare, public policy, life sciences or health-system innovation. Responsibilities: Conduct research on Canadian health policy, healthcare trends and emerging health-system priorities. Monitor and summarize relevant government announcements, policy developments, funding decisions and healthcare initiatives. Support environmental scans and stakeholder mapping to identify health-system needs, gaps and partnership opportunities. Assist with the development of presentations, briefing notes, reports and other materials for internal and external audiences. Support patient-engagement activities by gathering patient perspectives, reviewing best practices and helping incorporate the patient voice into team initiatives. Contribute to sustainability initiatives, including research on environmentally responsible healthcare delivery and opportunities to improve the long-term sustainability of health-system programs. Help track project activities, timelines, deliverables and measures of impact. Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas and capture key decisions and follow-up actions. Collaborate with colleagues across Commercial, Medical, Government Affairs, Market Access, Patient Engagement & Advocacy and other functions. Provide general project and administrative support to the Health Systems team as required. Qualifications: Currently enrolled in a master’s degree program in Public Health, Health Sciences, Health or Public Policy or Commerce with a healthcare focus.
