Organization Overview: For 140 years, Lilly has manufactured medicines that improve people’s lives around the world. The Operator will work in the Indianapolis Device Assembly and Packaging plant where Lilly products for domestic and international markets are assembled and packaged. The primary purpose of the job is to assemble and package products. Responsibilities: Adhere to IDAP Site safety policies and procedures and contribute to a safe work environment Setup and operations of equipment in assembly, labeling, and packaging areas Adhere to standard operating procedures and current Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure quality of product Document process steps on appropriate batch documentation Attain and maintain qualification for the operation of assigned process equipment and duties in the area Identify opportunities for operational improvements Proactively monitor documentation and product quality, properly documenting all activity and reporting issues to supervision Basic Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Sponsorship Language: Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Additional Preferences: Must pass a “fitness for duty” physical exam. Ability to demonstrate attention to detail Basic math skills Basic computer skills, with the capability to learn in more detail Excellent documentation skills Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, working safely and accountable for supporting all HSE Corporate and Site Goals Must be in good standing with local attendance policies Strong ability to multitask Good verbal and written communication skills Curiosity and technical abilities/troubleshooting Additional Information: Ability to wear safety equipment (safety glasses, safety shoes, protective gloves etc.) Ability to work overtime, weekends, and off shifts Some allergens are present in the plant; a post offer allergy test may be required This position is not permanent. It is for a fixed duration of two years with potential to extend annually for up to 4 years and employed directly by Eli Lilly. It includes a competitive benefit package. Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is $18.02 - $35.43 Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
