Your organization will drive the cross-functional and shared Omics data lifecycle: from raw data ingestion to standardized, AI‑ready assets to advanced analytical interpretation leveraged across discovery, therapeutic areas, and functions. The team’s scientific purview includes genomics, transcriptomics, spatial technologies, proteomics, cell atlases, and patient consortia; enabling next‑generation biological insights that accelerate discovery and development programs. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Leadership of Global Multiomics Data Science Define and execute the global strategy for Multiomics Data Science across J&J R&D, ensuring data architecture, analysis, and interpretation support scientific and portfolio priorities. Lead a high performing, multidisciplinary team of data scientists, computational biologists, and data engineers. Establish and oversee enterprise-wide standards for Omics data integration, quality, and reuse, leveraging learnings from specialized Omics teams in the Theraputic Areas and Functions to build shared Omics workflows and resources where possible. Drive the effective integration and analysis of largescale human biobanks and cohort datasets (e.g. FinnGen, UK Biobank, Our Future Health, etc.) 2. Enterprise Scale Omics Data Analysis Oversee the establishment and use of reproducible, scalable, Omics pipelines that transform raw data (e.g., transcriptomics, proteomics, etc) into standardized, analysis ready data products for all departments. Champion the use of AI and analytical methods to leverage the wealth of Omics related data the team manages and provide the tools and analytical analyses needed by our Therapeutic Areas and Functions. 3. Multi‑Omics Integration & Cell Atlas Development Drive innovation in cell atlas construction, including harmonization of single-cell, spatial Omics, proteomics, and genomics datasets. Develop scientific frameworks and analytical methods to assist perturbation response modeling, disease pathway mapping, patient stratification, and target discovery. 4. Analytical Excellence & Cross R&D Partnership Lead advanced data analysis efforts spanning genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and multi‑modal integration across therapeutic areas. Collaborate closely with AI/ML teams to deliver AI enabled Omics analyses. This includes AI ready data products exposed through APIs and MCP endpoints for AI co-scientists, supporting virtual cell and multimodal foundation models, causal inference, target identification, and enabling risk predictions used across the drug portfolio. Partner with discovery, safety, RWE, and clinical teams to identify impactful scientific questions and deliver data driven insights. 5. Data Governance, Interoperability & FAIR Principles Ensure Omics data assets meet strict governance, reproducibility, compliance, and interoperability standards. Create frameworks that unify Omics with other preclinical and patient data to generate insights that positively impact our drug portfolio. 6. Organizational Development and External Engagement Mentor and develop global talent; foster a culture of scientific excellence, transparency, and innovation.
