Position Summary The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing continuous operations of HVAC and site monitoring systems across the campus. This role ensures safe, compliant, and reliable utility and facility operations during assigned shifts, while leading frontline response and coordination activities. This position schedule is a rotating shift, days to nights to support 24/7 operation. Key Responsibilities Monitor and support operation of campus building automation and critical utility systems Respond to alarms, system deviations, and equipment issues in real time Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams for issue resolution Ensure systems operate within defined performance and compliance parameters Serve as first responder for site events Initiate responses and escalations per site procedures and processes Monitor building automation systems Identify abnormal trends and initiate corrective actions Ensure timely documentation and communication of events and system status Support shift reports, and operational metrics tracking Lead and direct shift personnel, contractors, and support staff Ensure proper shift handoffs and communication of critical information Enforce safety policies, procedures, and “safe by choice” behaviors Provide real-time decision-making during off-hours and emergency situations Ensure adherence to GMP, safety, and environmental regulations Support audits, inspections, and documentation requirements Drive a strong safety culture and incident prevention mindset Qualifications High school diploma or technical degree required (engineering or related field preferred) 5+ years of experience in facilities, utilities, or plant operations Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and building automation systems (BAS) Required to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays #MSJR Required Skills: Adaptability, Adaptability, Biopharmaceutical Industry, Biopharmaceuticals, Build Automation, Business Process Consulting, Business Processes, Business Process Improvements, Business Process Integration, Business Process Management (BPM), Business Process Modeling, Business Process Re-Engineering (BPR), cGMP Compliance, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Decision Making, Electromechanical Troubleshooting, Facility Operations, Future of Work, HVAC Systems, Inventory Management, Maintenance Management, Oncology, Operational Efficiency, People Leadership, Production Scheduling {+ 2 more} Preferred Skills: Current Employees apply HERE Current Contingent Workers apply HERE US and Puerto Rico Residents Only: Our company is committed to inclusion, ensuring that candidates can engage in a hiring process that exhibits their true capabilities. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.
