The Position Why Roche At Roche you can show up as yourself, embraced for the unique qualities you bring. Our culture encourages personal expression, open dialogue, and genuine connections, where you are valued, accepted and respected for who you are, allowing you to thrive both personally and professionally. This is how we aim to prevent, stop and cure diseases and ensure everyone has access to healthcare today and for generations to come. Join Roche, where every voice matters. Who We Are The Global Data, Digital & AI (GDDA) organization plays a central role in Roche Pharma Commercial’s digital and AI ecosystem. GDDA sets the enterprise digital strategy, translates commercial objectives into a coordinated portfolio of investments, and defines the standards and operating model that enable scalable execution across programs and products. By connecting strategy, portfolio, standards, programs, and products, GDDA ensures that data, digital, and AI capabilities are delivered as scalable, enterprise solutions that drive adoption and improve outcomes for patients, healthcare providers, and the broader healthcare ecosystem. The Opportunity The Portfolio Governance & Integration Lead is the cross-organizational coordination and governance lead for GDDA’s digital portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Digital Portfolio Management & Operations, this role ensures that portfolio priorities, decisions, and trade-offs are aligned across the organizations GDDA depends on — including Pharma International (PI), Global Product Strategy (GPS) / US Commercial, Medical & Government Affairs (CMG), Roche Digital Technology (RDT), and Data, Digital, Analytics (DDA) — and that decisions made in portfolio forums translate into clear actions, owners, and follow-through. This role owns the interfaces and governance mechanisms that make portfolio decisions executable. It manages the relationships, cadences, decision logs, escalation paths, and cross-functional alignment required to keep portfolio priorities moving through a complex matrix. The role requires strong operational discipline, stakeholder judgment, and the ability to influence without direct authority. What you will be working on Cross-functional Interface Management Act as GDDA’s primary operating interface for portfolio-related coordination with PI, GPS / US CMG, RDT, and DDA. Maintain active relationships with partner organizations to understand priorities, constraints, dependencies, and decision needs that affect GDDA’s portfolio. Ensure partner inputs are gathered, structured, and brought into GDDA’s portfolio planning and governance processes at the right time. Identify where partner priorities, timelines, resources, or standards create dependencies or conflicts that need active coordination. Represent GDDA’s portfolio perspective in cross-organizational forums, ensuring consistent messaging on priorities, constraints, and decision rationale. Governance Execution Maintain governance cadences and artifacts that support portfolio decision-making — including meeting rhythms, decision logs, escalation pathways, and status reporting templates — ensuring the infrastructure for transparent investment oversight is consistently in place. Run the operating mechanics of portfolio governance, including meeting cadences, agendas, pre-reads, decision logs, action trackers, escalation pathways, and follow-up routines. Ensure portfolio decisions are documented with clear owners, actions, timelines, and implications across GDDA and partner organizations. Track follow-through on commitments made in governance forums and escalate unresolved items when decisions are not landing. Maintain the governance infrastructure required for transparent investment oversight and cross-functional accountability. Portfolio Operations & Integration Ensure decisions made within GDDA are translated into execution expectations across PI, GPS / US CMG, RDT, DDA, and other partner teams. Partner with the Portfolio Planning Lead to connect governance outputs and stakeholder commitments back into the integrated portfolio view. Support cross-product and cross-organization integration by identifying where timing, ownership, standards, or capacity issues require active coordination. Help maintain a “city map” of digital activity across GDDA’s ecosystem by ensuring partner activities, governance decisions, and execution dependencies are visible and connected. Who You Are 8+ years of experience in portfolio operations, governance, program management, or cross-functional coordination roles within a digital, tech, or pharma/life sciences organization. Demonstrated experience acting as an interface or relationship lead across multiple organizational stakeholders, with a track record of maintaining alignment and driving follow-through without direct authority. Strong understanding of portfolio governance practices — including decision-making processes, escalation frameworks, and the artifacts that support structured portfolio oversight. Expertise in curating and maintaining project management tool (e.g., Planview/Power BI/Smartsheets) . Proven ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity across matrixed organizations, balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders while keeping portfolio priorities clear and moving. Strong organizational discipline — able to maintain structured coordination mechanisms, documentation, and follow-through across a wide set of interfaces simultaneously. Clear and confident communicator — able to represent GDDA's portfolio perspective credibly in cross-organizational forums and translate complex portfolio dynamics into concise, actionable updates. Additional Desired Qualifications Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) or equivalent experience in a portfolio management, governance, or cross-functional operations context. Prior experience in a pharma or large-scale tech company in a role focused on governance, stakeholder integration, or portfolio coordination across multiple business units. Familiarity with digital product portfolio environments and the organizational dynamics between commercial, technology (RDT), and business functions.
