Job Function: Data Analytics & Computational Sciences Job Sub Function: Clinical Data Management Job Category: Professional All Job Posting Locations: Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan Job Description: DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a MDM Analyst, located in Chiyoda, Tokyo Japan Overview As a Master Data Management Analyst within Global Services, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of enterprise data that supports business operations. This role contributes to effective data lifecycle management, enabling high-quality data for decision-making, compliance, and operational efficiency. You will work in a collaborative, global environment, supporting standardized processes, enhancing systems and tools, and driving continuous improvement. This position offers strong development opportunities within data operations and global services. Key Responsibilities • Execute master data operations activities in accordance with defined procedures, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal controls • Support data entry, validation, transformation, and quality checks across systems to maintain reliable and consistent master data • Prepare and maintain operational metrics, dashboards, and reporting to monitor performance and data quality • Resolve routine data and process issues while ensuring proper documentation and adherence to standards • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven solutions and business requirements • Contribute to projects that enhance master data processes, to ols, and systems, including automation initiatives • Ensure adherence to data governance policies and standardized global processes • Maintain data consistency across systems, identifying and addressing discrepancies or inefficiencies • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to support business needs and improve service delivery Qualifications Education: • Bachelor’s degree required , preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field Experience and Skills Required: • 0–2 years of professional experience in data management, operations, or a related field • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of data accuracy and quality • Analytical thinking skills with the ability to interpret data and support decision-making • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams • Ability to work in a structured, process-driven environment • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (particularly Excel) and familiarity with enterprise systems • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Preferred: • Experience with master data management or data governance processes • Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., SAP or similar platforms) • Experience in a shared services or global operations environment • Familiarity with automation tools or digital technologies • Experience extracting, analyzing, and reporting on data from multiple data sources • Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify and implement process enhancements • Knowledge of compliance, audit, or data quality standards Other • Language: Fluent Japanese and business-level English required • Travel: Minimal (0–10%), primarily regional if needed • Certifications: Data management, Lean, or Six Sigma certifications preferred For more information on how we support the whole health of our employees throughout their wellness, career and life journey, please visit www.careers.jnj.com .
