Job Description Summary The Supply Chain Head ensures the efficiency and continuity of the local supply chain processes through the development of best practices in product supply, warehousing and distribution activities, new product launches, International Trade (CTC) and 3rd party service providers’ management, with full alignment to Novartis Global, Regional & Divisional policies, standards, tools and procedures. Responsible for all local SCM activities: customs clearance, supply and demand planning, lifecycle, warehouse and distribution and customer services. Responsible to establish a clear and effective business ownership for Supply Chain processes within the Country SC organization to ensure adherence and sustainability of the defined standards Job Description Major Accountabilities: Drive process changes and operational/productivity improvements as process champion or project lead within the country. Liaise with associated departments (e.g. Finance, DRA, QA, others) to optimize cross-functional processes and projects. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with General Management and relevant functions in the Country and across manufacturing sites and functions. Support and participate in all launches activities in the country or cluster. Ensure correct scenarios planning and assumptions launch set-up and alignment with supply sites. Identify areas for improvements in the country, ensure implementation of continuous performance improvement plans and follow up sustainable implementation. Ensure high quality planning in affiliates and supply sites to optimize supply chain performance. (e.g. Sales Forecasting, Demand Planning, Launch Planning, others). Represent supply chain in local S&BP meetings in CPO and Supply Sites. Select, train, develop and coach SCM associates within the country to develop high potential Supply Chain talent pipeline. Manage and control budget and expenses for the assigned supply chain units and initiatives; to evaluate cost effectiveness and results. Essential requirements: University Degree. 6-8 years of experience in leadership positions within Supply Chain, Distribution & Warehouse and Customer Service of a pharmaceutical company. Advanced people management skills. Able to deal with different local and global stakeholders at all level. Fluent in English and Spanish. Desirable requirements: Post Graduation; APICS CSPS, CPIM or equivalent. Knowledge of SAP Hana, Kinaxis and other relevant Supply Chain tools.
