Laboratory Analyst (MLT/MT/ASCP)- Sat/Sun Day Shift- ICON San Antonio TX ICON is a global healthcare intelligence and clinical research organisation united by a mission to bring new medicines and treatments to patients faster. As a Lab Analyst I at ICON, you will be responsible for conducting routine laboratory tests and analyses to support clinical research studies. You will maintaining accurate data, adhering to standard procedures, and contribute to the overall success of the laboratory operations. Location: 100% on site San Antonio TX 78232 Job type: PRN/As Needed Shift/Schedule : Saturday - Sunday 6 AM-2 PM. (approximately 2 weekends a month but potentially ability to work more based on business need). Can also pick up a weekday or night on occasion. What You Will Do: You will contribute to scientific operations activities, taking responsibility for your deliverables and working collaboratively. Key responsibilities include: Under general supervision, perform and report routine and special laboratory tests on clinical trial specimens Perform specimen processing and testing independently to include waived and moderate complexity testing. Analyze test results and assume accountability for accuracy Critical value documentation and reporting Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and equipment Perform and document quality control activities and corrective actions Understand and utilize Laboratory Information System (LIS) and eSource system Assist with implementation of laboratory equipment or procedures Demonstrate ongoing competency to perform laboratory testing Cross train as needed. Your Profile: You will bring relevant scientific operations experience, along with the following qualifications and skills. Required qualifications and experience: Associate or bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science. MT/MLT/ASCP required (Clinical Lab Scientist license) Minimum 2 years in a laboratory environment, preferably in a clinical pathology laboratory or related industry. Proficient in laboratory techniques Employment with ICON is contingent upon having the legal right to work in the country where the role is based.
