Job Description Key Responsibilities: Manage the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of learning programs that support compliance requirements, employee development, and operational excellence initiatives. Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and external vendors to design, develop, and deploy instructor-led, virtual, and e-learning training programs. Support the planning, coordination, and administration of training activities, including scheduling, documentation, and Learning Management System (LMS) maintenance. Maintain training records and ensure training materials are current, accurate, and aligned with business and compliance requirements. Lead or support communication efforts related to learning programs, including updating SharePoint sites and internal communication platforms. Develop and distribute training and communication materials, including presentations, workbooks, job aids, newsletters, emails, flyers, and videos. Support the creation and enhancement of e-learning content and other technology-based learning solutions. Partner with stakeholders to identify training needs and support the development of effective learning solutions. Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, learner feedback, metrics, and other monitoring activities. Generate training reports and support analysis of learning data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Support initiatives to increase learner engagement and awareness of available development opportunities. Ensure training activities are conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, company policies, and quality standards. Apply knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing, quality systems, and cGMP requirements to support compliant learning programs. Assist with the implementation and adoption of new learning technologies and innovative training methods. Support departmental and organizational projects as assigned by the Head of Central Quality Learning and Performance. Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Manufacturing, Operations, and other business partners to support training and performance objectives. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Demonstrates understanding of training, instructional design, communication, and/or education. Demonstrates understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing and quality assurance. Demonstrates working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). Demonstrates functional and process knowledge to support training programs. Demonstrates strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Experience developing, managing, or supporting e-learning content and learning technologies. Familiarity with instructional design tools (e.g., Articulate, Synthesia), video development platforms, and other innovative learning solutions is preferred. Demonstrated willingness to learn and apply new technologies is essential. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Communications, Life Sciences, Business, Quality, or a related discipline with at least 5 years of relevant experience ; OR Master’s degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience . Experience supporting learning programs, training coordination, instructional design, communications, or education-related initiatives. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated manufacturing industry . Understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing, quality assurance, and compliance training. Working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) . Experience developing, managing, or supporting e-learning content and learning technologies. Familiarity with instructional design and digital learning tools such as: Articulate Synthesia Video development platforms Learning Management Systems SharePoint Experience creating training communications, presentations, newsletters, videos, and learner engagement materials. The salary range for this position is: $102,085.00 - $132,110.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
