Job Description The opportunity is to join AstraZeneca as a key sales manager responsible for launching and delivering the Franchise. The district business manager will be responsible for development and management of a district with the goal of maximizing sales to achieving established revenue and profit goals. Strong people leadership and a commitment to developing people is key to the role. Lead, direct and manage the customer activities of sales representatives within a geographic area. Manage expenses in a fiscally responsible manner. Participate in national, regional, and local strategic meetings, as well as lead meetings with respective team.​ What you’ll do Typical Accountabilities Develop and deploy customer strategies to achieve business’s goals, maintain /improve sales, profit, and market share, with current and future indications. ​ Responsible for leading, teaching, motivating and inspiring a team of representatives to achieve or exceed sales objectives in their sales region. ​ Proven ability to motivate and coach sales team to meet goals and objectives . ​ Lead a team of sales representatives to promote product(s) to targeted physicians and accounts to achieve/exceed specific business goals. ​ Work with sales representatives on a consistent basis, evaluating, coaching. ​ Attract, coach and retain individuals who will ensure high-level performance. ​ Direct the territory representative in the acquisition, expansion and retention of targeted business within the assigned geographic area. ​ Develop plans that effectively translate national strategy at the district level. ​ Work with leadership to define and establish appropriate behaviors and actions that will lead to sales growth acceleration in the geographic area. ​ Fully engage with key customers by developing and implementing strategies that support the growth of assigned product(s). ​ Participate in and contribute to commercial team planning sessions as requested, representing the needs of customers and the sales team and driving business building plans of the organization. ​ Operate within compliance guidelines at all times and observe all health, safety and environmental guidelines. ​ Provide regular coaching including written and verbal feedback following customer and field visits that address and support both the business development and career development needs of the team. Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree is required (advanced degree preferred). 5&#43; years of related pharmaceutical experience, or an MBA/MS with 4&#43; years of experience. D emonstrated leadership potential or experience in leading/mentoring sales teams, with a strong track record of driving results and motivating others Consistent documented sales results in Immunology, Biologics or rare disease area​ Strong ability to assess and develop people​ Strong business acumen and understanding of customer needs​ Critical thinking skills and strategic thinker​ </p
