SMF 2/9/2023 Job Title: Supervisor, Warehouse Supervisor Department: Manufacturing Operations FLSA: Exempt Position Overview: This position is responsible for the Shipping and Receiving department personnel, warehouse(s) and equipment used to support Acton Operations. The Warehouse supervisor will be the primary point of contact for all departments needing raw materials receiving, storage and shipping related to Acton Operations (e.g., Kitting, Packaging, Supply Chain, and Facilities). This position requires adherence to applicable standard operating procedures consistent with our QMS, CPAT and OSHA compliance requirements. This individual will manage the fork truck training for the 100 Nagog site and follow all safety requirements. Shift and Schedule: This position will be required to work varying shifts as business needs dictate. Responsibilities: Responsible for enforcing safety requirements to minimize safety risks. Supervises direct reporting staff according to overall company policy. Plan and develops employees. Establishes KPI’s and manages them. Ensures that the Warehouse shipping and receiving staff are properly trained. Monitors performance of staff to reward and coach when necessary. Monitors and reports out performance to senior leadership (KPI’s). Hires, and if needed fires staff. Manages timecard approval of staff in payroll system. Manages raw material component receipts and storage (on and off-site) and ensures transactions are correct and performed in a timely manner and in compliance with our QMS Works with Acton Kitting, Packaging and Supply Chain to ensure inventory is available onsite Responsible for utilization of warehouse storage to minimize off-site storage costs with capacity Responsible for meeting Domestic and International shipments of unsterile products to Sterilization sites Responsible for receiving and shipping documentation for Import/Export compliance Responsible for CPAT compliance for 100 Nagog shipping and receiving Perform similar or related duties as required or directed. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, w/ 2 years of Insulet experience 2+ years of relevant experience Preferred Skills and Competencies: Proficient in English language to be able to read documentation, communicate, and write. Microsoft Dynamics/AX Software experience or other ERP Materials Management module. SAP experience is a plus Proficient in business environment software applications like MS Office. Minimum 1 year experience in Distribution, Receiving, or Manufacturing Support environment. Strong customer service orientation for internal/external counterparts. Able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Stand up and sit-down forklift operation experience Familiarity with ergonomic lifting techniques. Good communication and organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Have a valid driver license (non-CDL) Medical device industry experience a plus. Work collaboratively within a team and possess a positive attitude. Experience in a start-up production environment is a plus. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and transfer loads up to 30 lbs. Must be able to safely operate electric and manual pallet jacks. Must be able to stand and bend up to 8 hours a day. Required to lift above shoulder frequently and below waist occasionally Pass a DOT medical test to operate box truck between locations&#xa;&#xa; Position Overview The Warehouse and Material Control Supervisor oversee all warehouse and material control operations, ensuring efficient daily workflows, accurate inventory management and timely delivery of materials to meet production demand. This role is responsible for maintaining timely material availability for production and ensuring all material transactions are completed accurately and promptly within the SAP ERP system. The supervisor also manages company truck activities and oversees the use and training of power‑lifting equipment, including forklifts and electric pallet jacks. A key focus of the role is leading continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining thorough documentation to support operational excellence. The supervisor ensures strict adherence to standard operating procedures and safety protocols, aligning with the Quality Management System (QMS), Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and OSHA regulations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the warehouse environment remains safe, compliant, and efficient. This is a weekend day shift. Working hours are 6:00 am - 6:30 pm, Friday - Sunday. Responsibilities Enforce warehouse safety program. Ensure adherence to FDA, OSHA, and internal quality standards. Responsible for enforcing safety requirements to minimize safety risks by reporting any safety incidents, hazards, and equipment malfunctions promptly to management Conduct safety audits and lead corrective actions to maintain compliance and proper records. Manage and mentor team members fostering high performing culture focused on accountability, collaboration and professional growth. Manage raw material and component receipts and storage (on and off-site) and ensure accurate and timely transactions in compliance with QMS. Optimize warehouse storage to minimize off-site storage costs. Regularly monitor Inventory levels in the department to ensure inventory accuracy, coordinate replenishment and manage shortages. Manages all raw components, ensuring proper tools, materials, and cavities are available to support manufacturing needs. Resolve any issues in the department such as inventory discrepancy, quality concerns, and implement corrective actions as need. Ensure C-TPAT compliance. Perform all other similar or related duties as required or directed by management. Required Leadership/Interpersonal Skills Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast paced environment. Commitment to safety, Inventory accuracy and continuous improvement. Required Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required. 3&#43; years of relevant experience in Logistics, Distribution, Warehouse or related field. 1&#43; years of direct leadership experience. Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment required. Preferred Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Logistics, Distribution, Warehouse or related field plus 1 year of leadership experience. Experience with ERP systems. Experience or the ability to drive a box truck; ability to obtain DOT card. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and transfer loads up to 50 lbs. Must be able to stand and bend up to 12 hours a day. Ability to operate material handling equipment safely. Additional Information The position is in-person at our Acton, MA location The position is required to work Weekends.
