The Position Value Stream SPOC - Infrastructure Business Analyst (APAC) Introduction The HI Manufacturing & TechOps Value Stream acts as the strategic connector and operational shield between central Hosting & Infrastructure (HI) platform engineering teams and the 22 internal manufacturing plants across Roche Pharma TechOps and Diagnostics Global Operations. Our mission is to eliminate local infrastructure toil, protect production uptime, enforce GxP compliance guardrails, and accelerate the frictionless consumption of global enterprise IT services across all manufacturing sites. As a Value Stream SPOC - Infrastructure Business Analyst (APAC) for Manufacturing & TechOps within Hosting & Infrastructure (HI), you will solve complex, high-stakes business and technical challenges across our global manufacturing IT and OT footprint, bridging global enterprise platform capabilities with the strict operational, GxP, and zero-downtime realities of our factory floors across the APAC region. The Opportunity In this role, you will act as the primary timezone liaison and "Snowplow" for our APAC manufacturing plants, applying deep infrastructure engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and IT Service Management (ITSM) practices. You will: Engage autonomously across the end-to-end lifecycle of manufacturing infrastructure platforms and services—from design and intake through deployment, operation, and native enterprise standardization. Apply software and reliability engineering principles to build, govern, and customize IT/OT infrastructure solutions (such as Plant DMZs, CaaS, Windows Server virtualization, and backup wrappers). Act as the primary timezone "Snowplow" and escalation commander during critical manufacturing outages, coordinating cross-functional troubleshooting across global infrastructure silos (Backup, OS, Network, Security, Identity) to minimize Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR). Execute blameless post-mortem practices, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), SLI/SLO monitoring, and Disaster Recovery validation to turn operational incidents into permanent platform improvements. Partner closely with local and global Manufacturing / TechOps teams to serve as the primary face of global Hosting & Infrastructure to APAC Site Heads, Plant Managers, Quality Leads, and Site Product Owners (SPOs). Serve as the GxP Change Proxy for the region by intercepting global IT release pipelines and conducting localized GxP Change Impact Assessments to protect active factory maintenance windows. Drive operational alignment across the APAC manufacturing network and participate actively in governance forums to evaluate site friction and route standard needs to global catalogs. Refactor site-specific patterns into reusable global manufacturing blueprints using infrastructure-as-code (IaC), automation, Agile, Lean, and Design Thinking methodologies. Who you are We are looking for a highly accountable, technically adept engineer who thrives in high-stakes, regulated manufacturing environments. To be successful in this role, you bring: Experience: Proven track record in IT/OT infrastructure engineering, SRE, or technical service management, including demonstrated experience operating within GxP, FDA-validated, or highly regulated 24/7 mission-critical environments. Education: A University Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Coordination & Influence: Strong ability to independently work within multi-site technical environments and coordinate cross-functional teams without direct line management authority. Core Infrastructure & Network Architecture: Wide hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (Nutanix HCI, VMware), Operating Systems (Windows Server, RedHat Linux, Igel OS), containerization (Kubernetes, CaaS), enterprise storage/backup (Acronis, Cohesity), and factory-floor IT/OT DMZs. ITSM & Compliance Mastery: Deep familiarity with ITIL/ITSM processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Release Management), quality/regulatory standards (FDA/GxP), cybersecurity baselines, and leading GxP audit evidence collection. Observability & Analytical Translation: Familiarity with modern observability tools, logging, APM, and defining SLIs/SLOs/SLAs, paired with an exceptional ability to translate complex factory floor constraints into technical user stories for global platform engineers. Language Proficiency: Fluency in both English and Mandarin (spoken and written) is required to effectively collaborate with regional site teams and stakeholders.
