Job Description Paramedic / Independent Medical Assistant Location: West Point, PA Schedule: 12‑hour rotating shifts, includes weekends/ weeknights / holidays Emergency Medical Services (Paramedic Role) Respond to on‑site acute medical emergencies. Provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) in accordance with Pennsylvania state protocols and under medical command direction. Follow clinical post‑exposure protocols for work‑related incidents. Evaluate workplace injuries and illnesses, including workers’ compensation‑related cases, and collaborate with a Nurse Practitioner or physician as needed. Evaluate minor, non‑occupational acute illnesses and injuries, with appropriate escalation to a Nurse Practitioner or physician. Document all patient encounters accurately in the electronic medical record. Communicate clinical information clearly and concisely to patients, providers, and other stakeholders. Perform other EMS‑related duties as assigned. Independent Medical Assistant Role Under the direction of a licensed physician or Nurse Practitioner, you will also: Evaluate workplace injuries and minor non‑occupational acute illnesses and injuries. Perform medical surveillance testing and clearances as directed. Draw blood (phlebotomy) and administer immunizations. Enter complete and accurate documentation into the electronic medical record. Support other clinic‑related tasks as assigned. What We’re Looking For High school diploma or GED required; college coursework preferred. Current Pennsylvania Department of Health Paramedic or National Registry Paramedic certification (must be maintained). Valid Commonwealth of Pennsylvania driver’s license. Current CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (American Red Cross) and/or BCLS (American Heart Association). EVOC/EVDT, ACLS, PALS, and other certifications as required. At least 5 years of field experience as an active Paramedic with current Medical Command Authorization. Ability to obtain and maintain Medical Command Authorization in Montgomery County, PA (EMS line officer experience preferred). Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and medical information software. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.
