A Day in the Life The Surgical Robotics business is advancing Medtronic’s soft-tissue robotic assisted surgery portfolio through the Hugo™ Robotic Assisted Surgery System, related instruments, consumables, and service solutions. This commercial team partners with health systems, hospitals, surgeons, and executive stakeholders to support adoption of robotic-assisted surgery and drive business growth across a highly competitive capital equipment market. This is a field-based remote position supporting the North East Region of the United States, including NY, NJ MA, CT, NH, ME, VT. The individual hired must reside within the assigned region, ideally near a major airport, and will travel extensively throughout the territory to support customers, lead team engagement, and manage commercial activities. Travel is expected to be approximately 50-75%. A valid drivers license is required The Senior Regional Sales Manager leads a team responsible for capital system sales, consumable utilization, and service growth for the Hugo™ Robotic Assisted Surgery platform. This role combines people leadership, strategic sales execution, executive-level customer engagement, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve regional performance objectives while expanding adoption of robotic-assisted surgery solutions. Primary Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop a regional team of capital sales professionals responsible for robotic-assisted surgery system, consumable, and service sales performance. Drive regional sales strategy, opportunity management, and forecast accuracy using disciplined sales processes and performance metrics. Partner with hospital executives, physicians, clinical leaders, and procurement stakeholders to advance complex capital equipment sales opportunities. Lead regional business reviews and commercial opportunity assessments to accelerate pipeline progression and contract closure. Develop and present business cases, total cost of ownership analyses, and economic value propositions that support customer purchasing decisions. Negotiate and finalize complex contracts, pricing agreements, and commercial terms with health system and hospital decision-makers. Collaborate with marketing, clinical, service, and other cross-functional partners to support customer adoption, account growth, and regional objectives. Monitor market dynamics, competitive activity, and customer needs to inform regional strategy and provide feedback to internal stakeholders. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 7&#43; years of capital sales experience in a healthcare environment, including 3&#43; years of people leadership experience; OR an advanced degree and 5&#43; years of capital sales experience in a healthcare environment, including 2&#43; years of people leadership experience. Demonstrated experience leading complex healthcare capital equipment sales cycles involving executive-level stakeholders and multiple decision-makers. Ability to travel 50-75% within the assigned region and maintain a valid driver's license. Must reside within the North East region Preferred Qualifications 5&#43; years of experience building and leading high-performing sales teams focused on long-cycle capital equipment sales. Experience selling robotic-assisted surgery, surgical technology, or other complex medical capital equipment solutions.
