Job Description Position Summary The Manufacturing Lead, Silica Production, serves as the primary day-to-day operational leader for the silica manufacturing team. This role is responsible for coordinating daily production activities, communicating priorities, supporting employee development, and helping ensure safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing operations. The Manufacturing Lead acts as a key liaison between production personnel and management, helping drive accountability, operational excellence, and team success. Key Responsibilities Lead and facilitate daily production meetings to communicate priorities, production schedules, and operational objectives. Coordinate and monitor daily manufacturing activities to support on-time execution of production schedules. Identify operational challenges and escalate issues to management for resolution when necessary. Assist with onboarding new employees, including coordinating system access, training requirements, and departmental integration. Provide coaching, mentoring, and process guidance to production employees to support skill development and performance. Support adherence to safety, quality, and compliance requirements across all manufacturing activities. Promote accountability to production goals and departmental performance expectations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and operational alignment. Provide coverage and operational support across manufacturing areas as business needs require. Assist in continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and process efficiency. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production workflows. Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Problem-solving and decision-making skills with a focus on operational success. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment. Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Experience in chemical manufacturing, process operations, or similar production environments. Demonstrated ability to coach, train, and develop employees. Experience leading teams, coordinating schedules, or facilitating production meetings. Requires higher education or specialized training/certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional Details This job has a full time weekly schedule. The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $30.69 - $47.96/hr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
