This position is within the Technology Services Legal product group in Johnson & Johnson Technology. This role reports into the Senior IT Manager for the legal product area and joins the existing delivery/build teams to lead Enterprise Legal Engineering capabilities in a highly regulated healthcare environment. The individual will be responsible for designing and building secure, scalable, and integrated solutions and/or enhancements to various Legal products, most specifically the Litify Enterprise Legal Management product. As the Functional Engineering Lead, you will work closely with business and technology product owners (BPO & TPO) leaders across Enterprise Legal, and other IT areas to deliver and improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and business outcomes. Key Responsibilities Technology Strategy & Delivery Collaborate with Enterprise Legal Product and Business Technology leaders to prioritize investments that maximize customer and business value into clear technical roadmaps, delivery plans, and reliable solutions. Use data and insights to drive measurable outcomes and continuous improvement. Utilize Agile methodology to deliver product backlog, including managing demand prioritizing, and executing IT capabilities. Ensure squads/scrum teams are operating according to agreed upon agile practices established by the teams and JNJ Software Development Lifecycle methodology. Perform or provide input into operational evaluations to ensure efficiencies are identified for improving operations. Leverage proven experience in leading or participating in global Agile Scrum/Squad delivery methodologies. Demonstrate Experience and applicable knowledge of all aspects of the product development lifecycle as well as Agile methodology. Demonstrate experience in using companion toolsets such as Jira, Confluence, X-Ray Testing framework, and Bitbucket. Engineering, Architecture & Operations Drive and lead scalable Legal product solutions, partnering with different Business and IT peers to support Business needs across regions and internal system integrations. Participate in end ‑ to ‑ end integration architecture design sessions, leveraging API ‑ first guiding principles, event ‑ driven, and microservices ‑ based patterns. Ensure that security and technical architecture are in line with the overall Business needs and strategy work with architecture teams. Provide Salesforce technical expertise throughout entire Design Lifecycle including architecture reviews, design sessions, POCs, and complex issue resolution. Collaborate with Application support team, providing resolutions to critical issues, and assisting them on the issues that are beyond their expertise. AI & Innovation Derive and lead Innovation with agentic AI platforms or architecting AI-assisted automation or orchestration for integrations. Design and Implement IA workflows that combine Robotic Process Automation, cognitive services, and APIs to incorporate into end-to-end business processes. Proactively identify, research, and experiment with innovative technical solutions for various business challenges brought up by TPO (Technical Product Owner)/ PA (Product Analyst). Practice on-going upskilling thru continuous learning and evaluation of emerging AI tools and platforms. Vendor, Financial & Portfolio Management Own vendor performance, contracts, SLAs, financials, & statements of work for Dev Ops Vendors. Align internal roadmaps with vendor roadmaps to maximize value and reduce risk. Manage budgeting, financial planning, and cost optimization as it relates to delivery of technology services. Regulatory, Security & Compliance Ensure Legal platforms meet healthcare regulatory and compliance requirements (GxP, SOX, HIPAA, Privacy, GDPR). Partner with security and compliance teams to ensure controls, audits, and risk mitigation. Balance speed, innovation, and risk in a regulated enterprise environment.
