The Opportunity Our diagnostic solutions are used in hospitals, laboratories, and clinics around the globe. Product Manager, CMI | Lake Forest, IL The Product Manager will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of Abbott's CMI business by leading market research initiatives and transforming complex data into actionable business insights. This position is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and presenting market, customer, and competitive intelligence to support the development and optimization of the global product portfolio. The Product Manager will serve as a key advocate for data-driven decision-making, leveraging analytical rigor to influence both strategic and tactical business decisions. Working cross-functionally with commercial, marketing, finance, and leadership teams, this individual will help identify growth opportunities, challenge assumptions, and drive initiatives that strengthen market position and business performance. What You’ll Work On Ensure compliance with Corporate and Division Purchasing, Office of Ethics and Compliance (OEC) and other applicable policies and procedures Lead the development and execution of Primary Market Research among relevant stakeholders to identify unmet customer needs, market opportunities, and emerging trends. Leverage Secondary Market Research on trends and market dynamics to inform product and vendor strategies and decisions. Develop and support pricing and value strategy, including pricing models, market segmentation, willingness-to-pay analyses, and commercialization recommendations to optimize growth, profitability, and market adoption. Monitor and evaluate product and commercial performance, analyzing launch effectiveness, sales trends, customer adoption, and marketing impact to generate actionable recommendations and improve business outcomes Ensure the most appropriate and cost-effective methodologies are utilized across all Business Unit market research projects Establish a productive work environment by creating trust and respect within the team and stakeholders. Build related business case(s) to quantify impact of new opportunities within the business.
