The Senior Director, Generic Pharmaceuticals & Clinical Nutrition Marketing (UCAN) is responsible for leading portfolio strategy and marketing execution across the United States and Canada for a diverse healthcare portfolio spanning generic injectable and infusion pharmaceuticals and clinical nutrition. This is a high-impact leadership role that will help shape the future direction of two strategically important businesses, driving growth, innovation, and customer value across the healthcare landscape. This leader is accountable for driving portfolio performance, shaping go-to-market strategies, and advancing customer-centric commercialization through strong market positioning, launch excellence, and cross-functional collaboration. The role partners closely with Commercial, Medical, Regulatory, Market Access, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to translate market opportunities into sustainable business growth while delivering value for customers and patients. Key Responsibilities Portfolio & Category Strategy Lead the overall marketing strategy for the UCAN portfolio. Drive portfolio prioritization, lifecycle management, and investment decisions aligned with business objectives. Identify growth opportunities and optimize portfolio performance across categories. Go-to-Market & Commercial Execution Develop and execute integrated go-to-market strategies that strengthen customer engagement and business results. Partner closely with Sales and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure commercial excellence and successful product launches. Support execution of marketing initiatives that drive adoption, growth, and market competitiveness. Market Insights & Analytics Establish and leverage customer, market, and competitive insights to inform strategic decision-making. Champion voice-of-customer initiatives and data-driven marketing practices. Monitor market dynamics and business performance to identify risks and opportunities. Pricing & Contracting Partnership Collaborate with Market Access, Finance, and Commercial teams to support pricing, value, and contracting strategies. Provide strategic marketing input to optimize portfolio access and business performance. Cross-Functional Leadership Lead integrated planning and execution across Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, and Commercial Excellence. Foster alignment and accountability to deliver business priorities and customer-focused outcomes. People Leadership Build, develop, and lead a high-performing marketing organization. Create an environment that promotes collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous development. Coach and develop talent to strengthen organizational capability and succession readiness. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred. 12+ years of progressive healthcare marketing, commercial, or business leadership experience. Demonstrated success leading generic pharma and nutrition portfolio strategies, commercialization, and go-to-market execution. Proven experience building and leading high-performing teams in complex, matrixed organizations. Strong strategic, analytical, and business acumen with the ability to influence senior stakeholders. Preferred Experience Experience supporting hospital, health system, and alternate-site care environments. Knowledge of generic pharmaceuticals and/or clinical nutrition markets. Understanding of GPO, IDN, and healthcare purchasing dynamics. Experience leading product launches, portfolio optimization, and lifecycle management initiatives. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $216,000 - $297,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commission, and/or long-term incentive.
