Job Title : Digital Architect Location: Morristown, NJ About the Job The Patient Services Domain Architecture team designs and governs the technology backbone powering Sanofi's Patient Support Programs globally. We connect patients, care teams, specialty pharmacies, and partner services ensuring every touchpoint is seamless, intelligent, secure, and compliant. As a Patient Experience Architect, you will own architecture decisions across our Patient Services ecosystem: digital experiences, cloud platforms, integrations, patient data flows, and AI. This is a hands-on technical leadership role you will design, validate, and guide implementation, not just document from a distance. You will also help shape the next frontier of patient engagement through agentic AI and intelligent, connected experiences. Ready to push the limits of what’s possible? Join Sanofi in one of our corporate functions and you can play a vital part in the performance of our entire business while helping to make an impact on millions around the world. About Sanofi: We’re an R&D-driven, AI-powered biopharma company committed to improving people’s lives and delivering compelling growth. Our deep understanding of the immune system and innovative pipeline enables us to invent medicines and vaccines that treat and protect millions of people around the world. Together, we chase the miracles of science to improve lives. Main Responsibilities Lead end-to-end architecture for Patient Experience domain translating patient journeys, business capabilities, and regulatory requirements into scalable designs spanning digital experiences, CRM, cloud-native applications, integrations, patient data, analytics, and AI. Produce hands-on architecture deliverables: blueprints, current/target-state architectures, ADRs, and C4 models that engineering teams can build from directly. Own and evolve the Patient Experience technology roadmap, covering modernization priorities, capability gaps, technical debt, and emerging technology adoption across AWS, Salesforce, Snowflake, Informatica/IICS, and shared enterprise services. Apply modern patterns API-first, event-driven, domain-driven, serverless, microservices selecting the right approach based on business and technical context, not convention. Drive platform simplification and reuse, consolidating capabilities, rationalizing applications, and eliminating point-to-point dependencies. Ensure cloud infrastructure is defined and managed through reusable, version-controlled Infrastructure as Code, supporting consistency, security, and repeatability across environments. Integration & Data: Architect integrations connecting Patient Experience platforms with specialty pharmacies, patient service providers, enterprise platforms, and external partners hands-on with AWS serverless services including Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, and SQS/SNS. Establish and govern reusable integration patterns across APIs, events, messaging, orchestration, and batch/real-time processing, including standards for resiliency, observability, error handling, and lifecycle management. Define reusable APIs, events, and data contracts that support multiple brands, patient programs, and digital experiences across the Patient Experience ecosystem. Architect patient data flows across Salesforce, Snowflake, Informatica/IICS, AWS, and external partners supporting operational workflows, analytics, personalization, and AI use cases. Design for a connected patient experience, enabling secure sharing of patient interactions, engagement history, consent, and preferences across authorized systems and channels. AI & Agentic Architecture: Define architecture for AI, Generative AI, and Agentic AI capabilities supporting patient engagement, Patient Services operations, decision support, and intelligent digital experiences. Design agentic workflows that securely connect AI agents with patient data, applications, APIs, and business capabilities establishing patterns for agent-to-agent (A2A) interoperability and Model Context Protocol (MCP). Establish MCP servers that securely expose APIs, tools, data, and business capabilities to authorized AI agents across the Patient Experience ecosystem. Apply enterprise AI guardrails and define Patient Experience-specific guardrails for agentic solutions and responsible AI involving patient data. Evaluate emerging AI and agent interoperability technologies for patient data, determining when agentic, API, event-driven, or traditional integration patterns are most appropriate. Architecture Governance, Security & Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to enterprise architecture principles, standards, and governance partnering with Enterprise Architecture to manage exceptions and maintain alignment with target-state. Make patient privacy, PHI/PII protection, consent, identity, and regulatory compliance a first-class concern in every architecture not an afterthought. Design for production-grade availability, resiliency, scalability, observability, and disaster recovery. Lead architecture reviews, keep documentation and ADRs current, and translate emerging technology into actionable roadmap opportunities. Collaboration & Technical Leadership: Collaborate across Product, Engineering, Data, Cybersecurity, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Patient Servies business stakeholders, and technology partners to align business objectives, technical strategy, and solution design. Provide hands-on architectural stewardship throughout the solution lifecycle, constructively challenging design decisions when necessary and guiding teams toward solutions aligned with architectural principles, enterprise standards, and long-term technology strategy. Drive technical decisions across stakeholders with differing priorities, building alignment without compromising the integrity of the target architecture. Partner closely with engineering teams from design through implementation, providing architectural guidance and ensuring delivered solutions remain aligned with approved architecture, patterns, and engineering standards. Support technical leads, building architectural depth and capability across the Patient Experience engineering community. About You Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree required, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred, plus 5 years of experience in technical architecture or senior engineering roles designing integrations and platforms. OR 7 years of experience in technical architecture or senior engineering roles designing integrations and platforms. AWS Certified Solutions Architect required with real, hands-on experience designing secure, resilient, scalable cloud-native solutions on AWS. Deep command of enterprise integration patterns including API, batch, event-driven, asynchronous messaging, and orchestration across distributed systems. Experience architecting Salesforce integrations or related CRM/patient engagement platforms. Experience with Infrastructure as Code Terraform, AWS CloudFormation/CDK, or equivalent integrated with modern CI/CD and DevSecOps practices. Ability to communicate complex architecture clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and drive decisions across multidisciplinary teams. Experience working within enterprise architecture governance
