A Day in the Life An exciting internal growth opportunity has created a role for a driven sales professional with a strong hunter mindset to join Medtronic's Surgical business and accelerate revenue growth across the Hernia Care Technologies portfolio in New South Wales. In Surgical Innovations, we advance minimally invasive surgery to improve outcomes for patients and providers around the globe. Through wise investments, thoughtful planning, and world-class partnerships, we help patients get the care they need – from diagnosis to treatment – when they need it. Reporting to the Senior Regional Sales Manager, this is an exciting opportunity to join Medtronic and contribute to a successful sales team. The ideal candidate will be commercially savvy, highly motivated, and passionate about advancing surgical care through our innovative technologies. With a strong focus on driving market growth and exceeding sales targets, you will play a key role in expanding our Hernia portfolio across your territory. Primary Responsibilities: Promoting and selling Medtronic's Hernia portfolio within an assigned territory to achieve or exceed sales targets. Developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including surgeons, healthcare professionals, hospital decision-makers, and distribution partners. Proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, assessing customer needs, and delivering tailored product solutions that maximise value for customers and patients. Providing product support, clinical education, and training to ensure optimal adoption and utilisation of Medtronic technologies. Planning and executing territory growth strategies to expand market share and drive sustainable revenue growth. Conducting market analysis to identify customer trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities within the surgical market. Implementing market development initiatives and adapting strategies in response to changing market dynamics. Collaborating cross-functionally with Marketing, Clinical, Operations, and R&D teams to communicate customer insights, support product innovation, and enhance customer experience. Maintaining a strong understanding of industry trends, clinical data, and healthcare landscapes to position Medtronic as a trusted partner. Required Qualifications: Minimum education requirement is High School Diploma (Year 12). Proven sales experience selling into hospitals with a success track record in the medical devices Strong understanding of the Australia public and private healthcare system and experience working within Operating Theatres. Solid clinical knowledge with the ability to build strong working relationships with key surgeons and other medical staff Required to have Willingness to travel as required to meet business requirements; 25% travel.
