As a Finance Specialist, you will play a vital role in managing study budgets, overseeing investigator payments, and providing the financial insights that help clinical teams deliver high-quality trials efficiently and compliantly. Working closely with cross-functional colleagues across Study & Site Operations, Clinical Project Management and Contracting, you will help drive operational excellence while supporting innovation that ultimately brings new medicines to patients faster. Job Description Key Responsibilities Manage study budgets, forecasts and financial tracking to support timely clinical trial delivery. Execute investigator payments accurately and efficiently across assigned studies and country groups. Partner with study start-up, clinical project and contracting teams to meet study milestones. Establish and validate investigator contracts within financial and accounting systems. Monitor payment activity, resolve site queries and oversee payment status tracking. Ensure compliance with financial controls, regulatory requirements and company procedures. Drive process improvements that enhance efficiency, quality and operational excellence. Essential Requirements Degree or vocational qualification in finance, economics, science, business or a related discipline. Experience in clinical operations, project management or an equivalent environment. Understanding of clinical drug development, particularly study start-up and contracting activities. Strong financial knowledge, including budget planning, forecasting, analysis and payment management. Ability to work independently with a structured, proactive and delivery-focused approach. Effective communication and collaboration skills within local and global matrix environments. Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role: £32,690 to £60,710 The base salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for a performance-based bonus depending on certain performance parameters.
