This position is a contract role and its tenure will be until 30 December 2028. Purpose Oversee site Security, Safety, Health, and Environmental programs to ensure compliance with legislation and GSK EHS standards for a safe workplace. Drive continuous improvement, best practices, and a strong EHS culture. Provide technical guidance, training, and support to the business. Responsibilities EHS Management system – Maintain site’s EHS management system to ensure compliance with legal and GSK EHS standards requirements while also facilitating continuous improvement. This include ensuring effective risk management and risk assessments. EHS Strategies and Plans – Contribute to the development of site’s EHS strategies, plans, policies, procedures and risk assessment techniques. Support implementation of GSK life-saving rules, safe systems of work, and behavioural safety programmes. EHS Information, Guidance and Advice – Ensure site complies with all relevant aspect concerning safety, industrial hygiene and environmental protection as prescribed by corporate EHS standards, Engineering Standards and local statutory requirements. Monitor changes in corporate EHS standards and local requirements and ensure site procedures are reviewed and updated to comply with the new requirements. Enforce EHS requirements and procedures and ensure that these are followed by all staffs and contractors working on site. Training – Create and deliver EHS packages and train staff and contractors at various levels within the organization. Identify EHS training needs and providers through in-house or external resources. Audit – Develop and support management monitoring (self-inspection, gemba) and conduct regular independent business monitoring of the EHS management systems and controls. Coordinate and follow up on matters arising from all EHS audits and inspections. Leads and coaches the SEHS committee’s inspection teams in regular site EHS inspections. Responding to Problems – Report accidents, illnesses or other incidents to the relevant authorities and departments where required. Together with the relevant departments, facilitate the investigation of any accidents and dangerous occurrences and ensure recommendations are effective to prevent their recurrence. Communications – Reinforce site’s safety culture via activities and campaigns to promote and enhance awareness of staffs and contractors. Support the EHS Lead, other EHS team members to ensure that EHS is maintained to a high standard on site. Key Requirements: Minimum B achelor’s degree from an accredited university in EHS, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering or Science related field Minimum 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical, chemical or other high-risk manufacturing facilities Ability to p rovide confidence to stakeholders and to provide sounds, practical EHS advice to the business and reliable decision-making.
