As a Sr. Product Designer , you will help shape how we design products in an AI-enabled world, using emerging tools and technologies as part of the design process. You will apply continuous discovery, rapid prototyping, iterative design, and user testing to solve complex, real-world problems. We’re looking for: Design expertise : You have a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in UX, UI, and interaction design, design strategy, and user testing paired with strong product thinking. Strong visual design skills : You have a sharp eye for visual design, including layout, typography, hierarchy, and detail, and consistently raise the bar on how the product looks and feels. Highly autonomous, self-directed designers : You take full ownership of your work, moving fast and independently, and proactively seek out opportunities to collaborate across teams, navigate ambiguity, and advocate for the best user experience, even when it means challenging existing ideas. Forward-thinking mindset: You're entrepreneurial and curious, with strong AI fluency, including hands-on experience prototyping with tools like Claude Code as part of your design process. Cross-functional collaboration: You build strong partnerships across design, product, and engineering, and influence decisions through prototyping, workshops, and shared decision-making. Product vision : You think beyond individual features, identifying opportunities to evolve the product and shape its long-term direction rather than only executing against existing requirements. Key Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end UX and UI design across discovery, prototyping, interaction design, visual design, and documentation, ensuring solutions align with user needs, scientific workflows, and business outcomes. Partner closely with research and science to plan, conduct, and synthesize iterative user testing, translating insights into actionable design decisions. Design and validate prototypes grounded in real-world scenarios, including AI-enabled workflows, to reduce complexity and improve efficiency . Translate complex technical and scientific workflows into intuitive, scalable user experiences, collaborating with product, research, data science, and engineering to shape solutions from concept through delivery . Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by raising design quality, sharing best practices, and influencing how design is practiced across teams . Essential Skills/Experience Extensive hands-on experience in UI, interaction design, and information architecture, with demonstrated strength in systems thinking and designing end-to-end experiences for complex, data- and workflow-driven digital products . Proven ability to plan and apply user research, design strategy, content design, and rapid prototyping methods to inform decisions and iterate effectively in agile environments . Expertise in Figma and demonstrable experience integrating tools such as Claude Code into the design and engineering process. Deep experience building, evolving, and applying design systems in close collaboration with engineering to drive consistency, scalability, and delivery efficiency across products . Demonstrated experience delivering accessible products and embedding WCAG 2.2 AA standards into everyday design practice. Strong ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative inputs, frame ambiguous problems, and make informed design decisions within technical, data, and regulatory constraints . Excellent collaboration, and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams . Comfortable working independently, navigating ambiguity, and owning complex design problems in B2B or B2B2C software environments . Based in Barcelona, with willingness to collaborate in-office with cross-functional teams . Willingness to travel for research, project delivery, and workshops . Ability to operate at pace and navigate changes in scope and approach based on shifting market signals and customer dem
