The Opportunity: Responsible for the day-to-day operational coordination of routine lab operations & support activities at customer facilities, such as glasswashing, garment/laundry services, autoclaving, sanitization, PPE / first aid stations maintenance, and/or waste and recycling collection. Coordinates task allocation and streamlines workflows, and contributes operationally to the activities coordinated. Collects, documents, and organizes data and observations. Problems and issues are typically less concrete and frequently changing, and are solved by applying experience from comparable situations in the past and/or selecting solutions within known alternatives.​ Communicates activity records, service level metrics and other information requiring explanation or interpretation to team members, supervisors or customers. Logistics Technician Location: Nijmegen, Netherlands Contract: Full-time | Initial 1-year contract with the possibility of conversion to a permanent position About the Role We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Logistics Technician to support inventory management and material handling activities at our client's site in Nijmegen. This role is essential to ensuring the uninterrupted supply of materials and consumables that support Production and Quality Control (QC) operations. The successful candidate will serve as the primary resource for Production and QC inventory management activities, taking ownership of inventory replenishment, material ordering, warehouse coordination, stock management, and material movement processes. Working closely with internal teams, suppliers, warehouses, and service providers, you will help maintain efficient operations while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities Manage Production and QC inventory replenishment activities. Process Production and QC material requests and orders. Coordinate warehouse requests, stock retrieval, and material distribution activities. Restock laboratory and production consumables to ensure operational continuity. Manage disposable inventory levels and gowning replenishment activities. Control and maintain documentation associated with incoming goods and deliveries. Coordinate the movement of materials between site locations. Maintain inventory accuracy through effective stock management and inventory control processes. Support monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc cleaning activities. Coordinate vendor visits and provide escort support where required. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Provide cross-functional support to Production, QC, Facilities, and other departments as needed. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance logistics, inventory, and operational processes. Qualifications Experience within a logistics, warehouse, supply chain, or operational environment is preferred. Experience handling dangerous goods and/or cryogenic materials is advantageous. Familiarity with ADR regulations for the transport and handling of dangerous goods is desirable. Experience supporting scientific, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or research organisations is beneficial. Proven ability to work effectively to deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge & Experience Understanding of inventory management processes and operational workflows. Awareness of how internal and external teams contribute to wider business objectives. Strong customer service focus and ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders. Experience using inventory management, warehouse, or business systems. Proficiency in data capture, analysis, and reporting using standard IT tools, particularly Microsoft Excel. Understanding of stock management principles and inventory accuracy initiatives. Working Environment This role is primarily based within an operational and warehouse environment, with regular interaction in laboratory and production areas. The position may involve: Frequent walking and standing throughout the working day. Bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying materials typically weighing up to 20kg. Handling hazardous materials, dangerous goods, solvents, chemicals, and biological or medical samples in accordance with approved safety procedures. Working with cryogenic materials and temperature-controlled products where applicable. Coordination of warehouse, laboratory, and production-related logistics activities. Frequent visits to laboratory areas and interaction with scientific teams. Compliance with all site safety, quality, environmental, and operational procedures.
