Eurofins Professional Scientific Services (PSS) is seeking a Scientific Program Coordinator to provide logistics, coordination, and document support to the biotherapeutic discovery in San Diego. This is an embedded, onsite role within a fast-moving, cross-functional team spanning an active portfolio of biotech partner collaborations, external CRO pilot programs, and business development activities. This is not a bench research role, but scientific literacy is essential. The ideal candidate understands the language of drug discovery and can work fluently with scientific content, stakeholders, and programs. This role will appeal to someone with a life sciences background who is looking to grow into program and portfolio management, and who wants direct exposure to how early-stage biotech partnerships and large molecule discovery programs are evaluated, structured, and executed at a leading pharmaceutical company. A distinguishing feature of this role is the variety and visibility it offers — no two weeks look the same. The person in this role will touch partner-facing materials, internal portfolio communications, conference and business development logistics, and project financial tracking, building a broad foundation in how scientific programs are coordinated and managed at scale. Responsibilities Craft high-impact scientific and organizational presentations and documents Build and maintain PowerPoint presentations for a range of audiences — partner-facing capability decks, internal portfolio reviews, governance submissions, and one-page summaries for external biotech partners Develop and maintain supporting documents including diligence Q&A trackers, gap analysis documents, competitive landscape comparisons, and portfolio reference workbooks Manage version control and organized filing of active materials across the portfolio and external partner engagements Drive internal communications and correspondence Draft and refine internal communications including portfolio updates, stakeholder briefings, and summary memos Support preparation of interview feedback write-ups, recognition notes, and other team communications Maintain organized records of key correspondence and follow-up items across active programs Coordinate meetings, calendars, and program logistics Manage scheduling for recurring and ad hoc meetings — internal project syncs, cross-functional stakeholder calls, external partner meetings, and interview panels Prepare agendas, pre-reads, and follow-up action summaries to keep meetings productive and well-documented Track key deadlines, deliverable timelines, and meeting cadences across the portfolio and flag gaps proactively Support financial tracking and PO coordination Track expenses, purchase orders, and invoices across active projects and CRO pilot programs, ensuring records are accurate and correctly coded Work with project managers and finance partners to flag discrepancies and ensure timely processing Support conference and business development activities Coordinate logistics for external scientific conferences and partnering events — registration, meeting scheduling, partnering platform coordination, and briefing material preparation Help prepare external-facing materials for business development meetings, including blinded capability summaries and partner overview documents Maintain a forward-looking calendar of relevant conferences, partnering events, and key submission deadlines Research coordination and portfolio reference support Compile background summaries, landscape analyses, and reference materials in support of partner diligence and portfolio reviews, under scientific direction Maintain and update trackers covering partner landscapes, CRO capabilities, platform comparisons, and other resources used in portfolio evaluation Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a life sciences, communications, business, or closely related field 3+ years of experience in research coordination, scientific administration, program coordination, or a related role in a pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO, or academic research environment Demonstrated experience preparing presentations and documents for varied audiences in a fast-paced environment Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite — PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship Additional Skills & Preferences Scientific literacy: comfort working with drug discovery terminology and scientific content, with the ability to engage credibly with scientists and program stakeholders Presentation skills: a strong eye for clear, professional, audience-appropriate slides and documents Proactivity and independence: the initiative to anticipate needs, flag gaps, and drive tasks to completion with limited oversight Discretion: sound judgment in handling confidential portfolio, partner, and personnel information AI fluency: familiarity with modern productivity and AI tools to streamline documentation and coordination workflows Financial coordination: comfort tracking purchase orders, invoices, and budgets with accuracy Familiarity with drug discovery workflows or biotech partnership models is a plus Additional Information This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, standard business hours, based onsite in San Diego, CA Comprehensive full-time benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage Life and disability insurance 401(k) with company match Paid vacation and company holidays Pay Range: $82,000-90,000 annually Eurofins USA PSS Insourcing Solutions is a Disabled and Veteran Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
