Together, we’re improving health and improving lives. Labcorp is seeking an Assay Pricing Strategy Intern to support our Core Automated Testing and Immunology Team located in Indianapolis, Indiana! Work Schedule : M-F / 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM: / 40 hrs. per week Job Responsibilities: Partner with laboratory scientists, procurement, finance, and commercial development teams to evaluate existing assay pricing models and associated cost drivers. Analyze historical assay pricing data, reagent and consumable costs, testing workflows, and laboratory resource requirements to identify opportunities for pricing optimization. Support the development of updated pricing frameworks that accurately reflect current testing processes, technologies, and operational costs. Collaborate with stakeholders to document assumptions, methodologies, and recommendations for assay pricing standardization. Prepare reports, presentations, and business analyses to communicate findings and recommendations to laboratory and commercial leadership. Contribute to initiatives that improve operational efficiency, cost transparency, and long-term sustainability of laboratory testing services. Minimum Qualifications: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Business Analytics, Life Sciences, Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Healthcare Management, or a related field. 3&#43; months experience with Microsoft Excel and data analysis coursework preferred. Additional Job Standards: Strong interest in laboratory operations, sample management, immunology, bioanalytical testing, or clinical research. Demonstrated attention to detail with excellent organizational and documentation skills. Ability to analyze data, identify process improvement opportunities, and develop practical solutions. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other data management tools. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings to scientific teams. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a laboratory environment. Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and a desire to learn laboratory and scientific processes. Maintains professionalism, reliability, and accountability in a regulated laboratory setting. About the Team: The Core Automated Testing and Immunology Department supports the majority of clinical trial testing performed within Labcorp's Central Laboratory network. Our team utilizes advanced automated testing platforms and immunoassay technologies to generate high-quality, reliable data that supports global drug development programs. We provide scientific leadership through assay validations, method implementation, troubleshooting, and technical consultation to internal and external stakeholders across the organization. As an intern, you will join a team of experienced scientists and laboratory professionals who are dedicated to operational excellence and scientific innovation. This internship will support a strategic initiative to develop a comprehensive inventory and repository of clinical samples and assay materials used for assay lot-to-lot comparability and lifecycle management. Through close collaboration with laboratory scientists, validation teams, and operational leaders, you will gain hands-on experience in laboratory processes, data management, sample tracking, and continuous improvement efforts that directly support clinical trial testing and future assay development activities.
