The Role This is a full-time co-op position based in Laval, Canada from February to June . Candidates must be available for the entire duration of the program. The Quality Assurance Co-Op will support Quality operations and Quality Systems activities at Moderna’s cGMP manufacturing facility in Laval, Canada. The co-op provides practical exposure to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), controlled documentation, training administration, records management, and quality-system support within a regulated biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Working with experienced Quality professionals and cross-functional partners, the co-op will help maintain accurate, organized, and inspection-ready Quality documentation while supporting routine compliance and continuous-improvement activities. The role is designed to provide meaningful exposure to Quality Assurance without independent Quality decision-making or ownership of Quality record closure. Here’s What You’ll Do Support document control and records-management activities, including scanning, filing, archiving, retrieval, reconciliation, and organization of GMP records in accordance with approved procedures and retention requirements. Assist with training administration activities, including tracking assigned training, supporting training records and reports, and following up on routine training-compliance activities. Support preparation, formatting, routing, and administrative maintenance of controlled documents such as SOPs, work instructions, forms, and training materials under the direction of Quality personnel. Assist with periodic reviews of Quality documentation and trackers to help ensure records remain current, complete, accurate, and inspection ready. Support routine review and organization of electronic and paper GMP documentation for completeness and adherence to Good Documentation Practices; escalate observations to the responsible Quality team member. Help maintain Quality metrics, dashboards, trackers, action lists, and meeting materials used to monitor Quality-system and operational performance. Participate in Quality meetings and governance forums as appropriate, including capturing actions, maintaining trackers, and supporting follow-up activities. Support Quality and cross-functional teams with data gathering, document retrieval, and preparation of information for audits, inspections, self-inspections, and compliance walkthroughs. Identify and communicate potential documentation or process gaps to the responsible Quality team member and support implementation of approved improvements. Support continuous-improvement initiatives focused on documentation practices, records management, training administration, digital tools, and operational efficiency. Partner with Quality, Manufacturing, Digital/IT, and other functions on assigned projects while maintaining GxP, data-integrity, confidentiality, and site-safety requirements. Complete all required training assignments in a timely manner and perform assigned activities in accordance with approved SOPs, work instructions, and safety requirements. Contribute to special projects and other Quality Assurance activities as assigned. Here’s What You’ll Need (Minimum Qualifications) Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in a science, engineering, pharmacy, quality, life-sciences, or related discipline. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to work carefully with controlled records and follow written procedures in a regulated environment. Ability to work on-site at the Moderna Laval facility for the duration of the co-op program. Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications) Strong attention to detail, organization, and commitment to accurate documentation. Strong written and verbal communication skills in a collaborative team environment. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments, meet timelines, and ask questions when clarification is needed. Interest in Quality Assurance, GMP manufacturing, Quality Systems, or the biopharmaceutical industry. Comfort working with data, trackers, electronic systems, and process-improvement activities. A proactive, curious, and collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment. French and English communication skills are an asset for the Laval site.
