Labcorp is seeking a Principal, Clinical Translation and Scientific Engagement Tead, Real World Data to join our team remotely in the UK, Poland, Belgium or Bulgaria. Work Schedule: This is a full‑time, exempt (salaried) position with standard business hours in your time zone, Monday through Friday. Business needs may occasionally require flexibility in work hours, including earlier, later, or additional hours, with reasonable notice provided when possible. Main Responsibilities: Strategic leadership & execution Work with Global Head RWD Data strategy & technical solutions, as well as the wider RWD team, to understand shifts in RWD requirements and their implications to current strategy and product roadmap. Contribute to product roadmap by identifying potential use cases and requirements to address shifts in technology and clinical practice. Keep current with and appropriately evaluate the medical literature, guidelines, and other clinical information sources to identify relevant shifts in key shifts in medical practice and guidance that may drive shifts in RWD requirements. Stay informed of shifts in technology (including use of AI technologies) to support clinical interpretation and how this is impacting data generation, clinical analyses and interpretation. Clinical translation Provide subject matter expertise in defining and translating clinical concepts/requirements into data definitions. Collaborate with technical and business leaders in RWD to enhance and refine our solutions based on clinical experience and shifts in clinical practice. Work with Technical teams to define key analyses to confirm scientific and clinical accuracy and appropriateness of Labcorp RWD Data and solutions, and consistency with existing scientific evidence base. Work with Labcorp clinical and scientific experts, as needed, to refine data definitions, analyses and interpretation of findings from Labcorp RWD data and solutions. Identify opportunities to leverage AI solutions to enhance clinical translation. Operational excellence Serve as the primary resource for cohort and feature definition and clinical inquiries within the RWD team. Identify and engage other clinical and scientific experts within Labcorp to provide timely input as needed. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engagement, patient satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Identify and lead efforts to implement AI solutions to support clinical aspect of data and product workflows, collaborating with other teams (including Technical, Compliance and data governance) to ensure consistency and compliance of implementation and development of KPIs and guardrails to track performance and impact. Ensure timely input and resolution of clinical enquiries within data and product development and delivery. Partner management Work with Global Head RWD Data strategy and technical partnership to establish relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare practitioners, academic institutions and industry personnel. Build and develop relationships with clinical leaders within Labcorp to test and refine use cases & clinical definitions and test & validate emerging findings. Confidently and credibly present use cases, definitions and RWD content / interpretations by leading presentations, and demonstrations to both internal and external stakeholders. Scientific and clinical leadership Work with BD and Marketing to identify clinical events / congresses where Labcorp/RWD could attend. Contribute to congress and publication strategy to support elevation of Labcorp RWD scientific and clinical leadership. Collaborate with RWD analytics teams to identify and develop insights for external communication in publications and at scientific congresses. Attend key congresses, to present finding and support RWD colleagues in engaging clinical leaders. Minimum Qualifications: Healthcare professional degree (e.g., MD, PharmD) with 3 or more years of clinical practice. 2 or more years of experience in RWD/RWE and/or healthcare analytics. Preferred Qualifications: Post graduate research experience in Life sciences (e.g. Masters, PhD) Demonstrable experience in publication of scientific research and/or presentation at medical congresses on topics related to RWD/E Additional Job Standards: Knowledge and understanding about real world data and the life science/healthcare industry. Knowledge of HIPAA and data privacy laws and best practices. Deep understanding in key medical coding ontologies (e.g., ICD-10, NDC RxNorm Knowledge and experience in leveraging AI tools to support data generation, interpretation and validation activities Ability to work in a cross-functional environment including with clinical, business, and technical teams as well as external partners/collaborators. Ability to work independently in a remote environment. Strong planning, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Critical thinking and sound decision making. High level of persistence, professionalism, and positive attitude.
