The Manager, Technology Product Owner plays a critical role in translating Medical Affairs needs into prioritized product roadmaps, ensuring technology solutions support scientific engagement, evidence generation, and patient outcomes while meeting regulatory and quality standards. This position offers the opportunity to shape the future of Medical Affairs technology and reports into the DePuy Synthes Technology organization. Key Responsibilities Own and manage the end‑to‑end product lifecycle for Medical Affairs technology solutions, from strategy and roadmap through delivery and continuous improvement. Partner with Medical Affairs, R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, and IT stakeholders to translate business and scientific needs into clear product requirements and priorities. Define and maintain product roadmaps, backlogs, and success metrics aligned with organizational strategy and compliance requirements. Lead the application of AI, advanced analytics, and automation to modernize R&D platforms, accelerating product development, improving scientific and engineering insights, and strengthening end to end decision making while enabling scalable, compliant, and efficient R&D operations from discovery through lifecycle management. Lead prioritization decisions by balancing value, risk, compliance, cost, and technical feasibility. Ensure solutions comply with applicable regulations, data privacy standards, and internal quality systems. Collaborate with delivery teams using agile and hybrid methodologies to ensure timely, high‑quality execution. Manage vendor and partner relationships supporting Medical Affairs technology platforms. Drive adoption and value realization through change management, training, and stakeholder engagement. Apply Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in all interactions and decisions. Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree required in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field. Master’s degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) preferred. Experience and Skills Required 6-8 years of experience owning or managing digital products or platforms supporting Medical Affairs, R&D, or regulated healthcare environments. Working knowledge of enterprise systems, data platforms, cloud technologies, and system integrations within regulated industries. Understanding of SDLC, agile/product management practices, and technology risk management. Ability to translate Medical Affairs and scientific needs into clear, prioritized technology requirements. Experience working within regulated environments (e.g., medical devices, pharmaceuticals, life sciences). Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on value delivery and outcomes. Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence without direct authority. Strong communication skills to engage technical and non‑technical stakeholders at all levels. Experience mentoring team members and promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Preferred Experience supporting Medical Affairs use cases such as scientific engagement, evidence generation, medical information, or clinical data analytics. Prior experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Technology Manager in a global organization. Familiarity with regulatory expectations impacting Medical Affairs technology (e.g., data privacy, audit readiness). Experience managing external technology vendors or system integrators. Other Language: Proficiency in English required. Travel: Up to 10–20%, primarily domestic, with occasional international travel. Certifications such as Product Owner, Agile, or Project Management (e.g., CSPO, SAFe, PMP) preferred.
