Job description
Medical strategy Accountable for developing and implementing the Medical Brand Strategic Plan (BSP), Brand Experience Plan (BEP), and Launch Readiness Plan (LRP) to demonstrate scientific leadership. Identify disease unmet needs and lead medical initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve positive patient outcomes. Map clinical pathways by identifying key decision-makers and opportunities to align with evidence-based practices and industry standards. Foster scalable, innovative partnerships within the healthcare ecosystem to achieve sustainable patient outcomes. Interpret and communicate findings from RWD/RWE projects to generate actionable insights that inform medical and commercial strategies and improve patient outcomes. Evidence generation Deeply understand AstraZeneca-initiated clinical trials, external investigator-initiated research (ESR), and RWD/RWE policies and procedures. Master clinical research in Phase IIIB-IV, including preparing study protocols, case report forms, study reports, and statistical analysis plans. Leverage medical expertise to design, implement, and oversee RWD/RWE projects, ensuring scientific accuracy and reliable data sources. Medical Communication Lead the creation of scientific narratives and educational content to integrate new medical advancements into clinical practice and achieve guideline adoption. Organizes and delivers education and training to cross-functional employees to ensure scientific knowledge is kept up to date within the local organization. Team Leadership Build a performance-driven medical team, ensuring systems and capabilities align with current and future organizational needs. Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment, supporting professional development and empowering team members to contribute to broader organizational goals. Set clear expectations, goals, and priorities while promoting scientific excellence and continuous learning. Mentor and coach team members, providing feedback to support career growth. Ensure right talent to the right position and the retention of the high performers. Review the documents issued by the team to ensure compliance. Medical Governance Oversight Lead a team to ensure product materials are accurate and up to date. Provide expert scientific support and approval for complex drug materials and conference documents. Maintain signatory authority on therapy area materials and ensure marketing materials' medical and scientific accuracy. Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations, including clinical trials, promotional activity, and pharmacovigilance.
