About This Role The IMNDU (Immune Mediated and Neurodegeneration Development Unit) Strategy, Operations & Communications Lead will drive strategy execution, operating cadence, and executive communications for the IMNDU organization within Biogen Development. Reporting to the SVP, Head of IMNDU, this role will translate high-level priorities into actionable workstreams, establish clear measures of success, track goals and ensure progress against strategic and operational objectives. The role will partner closely with the IMNDU Leadership Team to ensure development and execution of knowledge-sharing forums and town halls, forums for reviewing portfolio projects and timelines, and for sharing information and prioritization of governance (RRC, DPC, EPR) and Francise deliverables, as well as assist with DLT and Board of Director documents. This individual will also lead or co-lead with an LT member high-impact strategic initiatives and develop executive materials, business reviews, and communications that support senior leadership decision-making. This role must be able to integrate the priorities of a global, technical, medical and scientific enterprise with a strong sense of accountability. What You’ll Do Deliver IMNDU strategy execution, meeting and workstream operating cadence, informational and decision-making forums in partnership with the Head of IMNDU and IMNDU Leadership Team Translate strategic priorities into actionable workstreams with clear ownership, timelines, measures of success, and progress tracking. Ensure goals are on track and issues are escalated early to address any challenges with achieving goals Facilitate annual and multi-year strategic planning, including priority setting, trade-off recommendations, performance metrics, and execution tracking in alignment with functional budget owners Lead high-impact, cross-functional strategic initiatives aligned to IMNDU and enterprise priorities. Prioritize across a dynamic portfolio of marketed and development programs Own the IMNDU executive narrative and develop presentations, briefing materials, business reviews, and strategic communications for senior leaders and key stakeholders Drive the IMNDU communications strategy to support employee engagement, organizational alignment, and visibility of business impact for a global, diverse team Partner with R&D Communications and Corporate Communications to ensure messaging aligns with Biogen communications policies and social media guidelines Who You Are You are a strategic, highly organized operator who can turn ambiguity into clear priorities and action. Required Skills Bachelor’s degree required 10+ years of experience in R&D, strategy, operations, or related biopharma functions Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives with enterprise impact Strong strategic thinking, analytical, creative problem-solving, and decision-making skills Proven ability to influence senior leaders and operate effectively in a matrixed organization Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to structure and manage timelines, project flows, and executive-level deliverables Preferred Skills MBA or advanced degree preferred Experience developing executive narratives, strategic communications, business reviews, or senior leadership briefing materials Job Level: Management Additional Information The base compensation range for this role is: - Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
