Production Engineer - 18 months contract

Together, we make a difference in the lives of our patients and customers. Are you ready to join us? Key Responsibilities Provide hands-on engineering support to day-to-day manufacturing operations. Work directly with technicians on the production floor to troubleshoot product, process, test, calibration and equipment-related issues. Investigate manufacturing problems using logical, structured and evidence-based problem-solving. Support root-cause investigations and drive issues through to effective resolution. Identify and support opportunities to improve quality, yield, efficiency, process stability and production throughput. Participate in daily production meetings and clearly communicate priorities, technical issues, risks and required actions. Proactively escalate issues impacting safety, quality, delivery or production while supporting their resolution. Work collaboratively across Production, Engineering, Quality, NPI, Systems and R&D teams. Support engineering trials, process changes and continuous improvement activities. Prepare, update and maintain clear production documentation, including Work Instructions, rework instructions, NCRs, ECNs and production records. Skills & Experience Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline. Manufacturing, production, test or similar hands-on engineering experience is preferred. Strong engineering fundamentals with logical and structured problem-solving skills. Curious, proactive and willing to learn, with a strong sense of ownership. Practical and hands-on, with confidence supporting manufacturing processes, troubleshooting and engineering investigations in a production environment. Strong communication and teamwork skills in a cross-functional environment. Role Details Employment: Full-time, standard day shift with stable hours. Contract: 18-month contract with potential to become permanent. No visa sponsorship / relocation will be provided for the role. All applicants need to have full Australian work rights.
