Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/innovative-medicine Delivery Unit, Global Development Sr. Director, Program Management Team Leader Position Summary The Program Management Team Leader provides strategic and operational leadership, functional management and people development for the Program Management group, driving the allocation, development and training of resources to support the execution of the portfolio. The Program Management Team Leader partners closely with DU DAS or ED Leader and Therapeutic Area DAS leadership to drive and operationalize compound development strategy and to optimize portfolio value. The Program Management Team Leader helps the DU to identify and escalate portfolio/program risks and issues and to resolve these in collaboration with all R&D functions. The Program Management Team Leader is responsible to ensure all associated resources are planned in accordance with the Global Development workforce management plan to assure the capabilities and experience levels of the staff meet the the specific needs of the Delivery Unit, to identify gaps and assure that staff are developed to fulfil those gaps. The role will be accountable to hire, onboard and train the resources needed to support the execution of the portfolio to optimize value. The Program Management group primarily consists Program Management Leaders who are a thought partner to the CDT leaders and co- creates the CDT strategy and translates it into a comprehensive crossfunctional plan that delivers optimized program outcomes. PMLs are responsible enabling the CDT to delivery optimal outcomes and translating the Compound Development Team (CDT) strategy into a Compound Development Plan (CDP). Principal Responsibilities Provide strategic operational leadership over the PML group and DAS Delivery Team of the Deliverly Unit and the portfolio managed by the PML group: Provide ALL direct reporting and operational leadership over the DAS PML group and the portfolio managed by the PML group. Increased DAS specific responsibilities including co-leadership with DAS DU Leader at DAS Extended Leadership Team. Strategy and execution support and planning regarding finance, milestone, and CDP alignment to optimize portfolio value. Including supporting team’s on approach to governance and escalating issues to senior management in support of unblocking work for the teams. Drive excellence, efficiency and consistency across the project management teams, and make the right connections across DU and JNJ IM ( i.e. TA, GD, DPDS, Finance, Regulatory) to enable optimal delivery of the DAS strategy and portfolio value. Single point of accountability with the Program Management Capabilities Leader from BGIA to ensure PML capabilities and innovations are at or above industry standards and are effectively deployed to the DU. Ensure best practices and PML capabilities are leveraged across the DAS portfolio, DU, BGIA and JNJ IM. Through supporting the PML CoP.
