JOB DESCRIPTION: Position Overview The Associate Data Research Scientist II, with limited guidance from more experienced scientists, works on projects which are moderate to complex in scope. The Associate Data Research Scientist II participates in planning of projects and experiments and is responsible for the analysis of data of experimental workflows. Working in a team setting, the Associate Research Scientist II will primarily be involved in Research and Development projects and actively participates in translating research ideas and concepts into the product development pipeline towards development of diagnostic assay products. Essential Duties include but are not limited to the following: Conduct, and with some guidance, plan Data Analysis for Proteomics / Immunoassay methods. Effectively utilize and apply methods or technologies and provide ideas for new techniques, when appropriate. Prepare reports and documentation providing the analysis or summarization of data analysis results and outcomes to supervisor, technical teams/groups, or project teams. Work on individual assignments and with project team members, as appropriate, to meet department and project objectives. Work within project timeframes that are established collaboratively by team members. Exercise discretion and independent judgement to interpret results, analyze data, and present findings in a professional and knowledgeable manner. Ability to communicate clearly with supervisor and group members. Ability to collaborate and work effectively within team and department. Strong attention to details. Ability to effectively work on several varied projects at one time, with frequent changing priorities. Successful in analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills. Successful in technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration with others, and independent thought. Regular and reliable on-site attendance. Positions primary focus is data analysis of Proteomics and Immunoassay methods Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in STEM fields. 2+ years of relevant industry experience. Hands-on data analysis experience in protein biochemistry. Demonstrated ability to apply statistical and data analysis methods in biochemistry / proteomics. Proficient in Python. Authorization to work in Germany. Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in STEM fields. 2+ years of relevant industry experience in the field of bioinformatics, data analyst or any related fields. Practical knowledge on AWS.
