Job Function: Supply Chain Deliver Job Sub Function: Transportation Services Job Category: Professional All Job Posting Locations: Beerse, Antwerp, Belgium, Zug, Switzerland Job Description: The Transportation Senior Manager, Regional MedTech IBF owns end-to-end regional inbound freight transportation for Johnson & Johnson MedTech in EMEA, ensuring reliable, compliant and cost-effective supply from manufacturing sites and hubs to regional hubs, affiliates, distributor DCs and other approved flows. The role leads transportation operations, financial governance, Control Tower execution, freight audit and payment management, carrier and LSP performance, business continuity, and transportation readiness for network changes, NPI and acquisition and divestiture activity. The role partners across Deliver, Make, Plan, Source, Finance, Quality, Trade Compliance, Procurement, Digital and Global Transportation to translate business needs into transport capabilities and measurable outcomes. Success requires strong operational discipline, financial ownership, stakeholder management, data-driven decision-making and people leadership in a regional matrix environment. Approximate Percentage of Time Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities 25% Own MedTech EMEA IBF transportation operations and reliability Ensure reliable and compliant transportation execution across regional inbound freight lanes, including manufacturing site to hub, hub to affiliate, hub to distributor DC, inter-affiliate and assigned Vision flows where applicable. Act as senior escalation point for transport operations involving manufacturing sites, EDCs, affiliate DCs, carriers, Control Tower partners and key business stakeholders. Drive operational issue resolution, root-cause management and corrective actions to improve service, OTIF-D, on-time performance, complaint rates and customer impact. Ensure adequate transport capacity for peak periods, holidays, launches, network changes and disruption periods. 15 % Lead transportation financial governance, budget management and CIP delivery Own regional MedTech IBF budget planning, budget-versus-actual governance, accrual quality, forecasting input and spend visibility. Drive cost improvement programs, productivity initiatives and cost-to-serve reduction while protecting service, quality and compliance. Provide clear spend analytics and management insights to Segment, Regional and Global leadership. Work with Finance, Procurement, GLP and business owners to align rate cards, budget ownership, MRC/cost center treatment and governance for transfers or scope changes. 12% Govern Control Tower, freight audit and payment processes Manage Control Tower operating model execution for MedTech IBF lanes, including performance, escalation, compliance and value creation. Govern freight audit and pay processes, including Control Pay implementation, invoice exceptions, manual approvals for non-integrated flows, missing or incorrect invoices and carrier payment issue resolution. Lead roll-out of spend visibility and freight audit solutions for non-integrated lanes where in scope. Ensure process clarity across transport operations, finance, procurement, billing and Control Tower interfaces. 12% Lead carrier, 3PL/4PL and SRM performance management Define and run SRM standards for carriers, freight forwarders, brokers, Control Tower partners and other logistics providers. Lead carrier and Control Tower business reviews focused on service, cost, quality, innovation, sustainability and compliance. Support regional and global sourcing events, transport tenders, rate governance and implementation of awarded solutions. Translate performance gaps into action plans, owners, due dates and measurable recovery commitments. 10% Integrate transportation into IBP, network strategy and business transformation Represent Regional Transportation in MedTech E2E Supply Chain forums, IBP/S&OP processes, business reviews and transformation programs. Translate inventory, manufacturing, hub, affiliate and customer strategies into transportation requirements and trade-off options. Lead transport input for network changes, direct ship programs, make-to-deliver optimization, flow redesign, mode changes and frequency optimization. Build decision-ready recommendations that balance service, cost, inventory, cash, quality, compliance and sustainability. 8% Own transportation readiness for NPI, A&D and new capabilities Define, select and implement transportation capabilities required for NPI, acquisitions, divestitures, DPS separation activities and other business model changes. Ensure timely lane activation, operational readiness, customs and quality alignment, data set-up, carrier selection and Control Tower readiness for approved launch or transition plans. Assess special transport requirements such as cold chain, white-glove service, robotics, direct distribution and emerging modalities where applicable. 8% Drive digital transport, analytics and process maturity Advance digital transportation capabilities for visibility, performance management, freight settlement, analytics, master data and reporting automation. Partner with Digital, Technology and Global Transportation teams on TMS, Control Tower, freight audit and spend visibility roadmap requirements. Ensure core metrics, dashboards and governance routines support fast issue identification, clear ownership and disciplined follow-up. Promote data quality,
