PhD Technical Director Clinical Chemistry- Farmingdale NY What You Will Do: 1. Oversee all activities within the Clinical Chemistry subspecialty laboratory operations in FMG. 2. Sign-out cases needing certified specialty director review, including serum and urine protein electrophoresis and LCMSMS reports. 3. Oversee QA/QI/PI in Clinical Chemistry Laboratory. 4. Insure regulatory and compliance requirements including PT, certifications, QMS, management reviews and others to ensure quality testing and results, patient safety, and maintenance of laboratory accreditation. 5. Train laboratory personnel on SOPs, proficiencies and maintenance of competencies. 6. Sign off on validation/verification plans on test/ assay development 7. Help troubleshoot technical issues and solutioning in Clinical Chemistry. 8. Participate in global laboratory tasks as well as business development assignments as an SME. Your Profile: PhD with postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Chemistry and at least 3 years of clinical laboratory technical director experience in a clinical laboratory setting. Must have a NYS CoQ and certification by recognized board like the ABCC, HCLD and others. #LI-FL1 Employment with ICON is contingent upon having the legal right to work in the country where the role is based.
