Purpose: Director, Global Master Data Management (MDM) Governance owns Master Data Management policy, domain -to platform assignment, quality standards and decision rights and is responsible for supporting the design and implementation of data systems and infrastructure that provides the strategic framework to support the global orthopedics organization, while ensuring clear line of sight per system application and overall strategic alignment. The position has ownership of all data, system and infrastructure MDM strategic processes, projects and day-to-day operations that support the major areas within the Master Data Management strategies. These major areas include Commercial, Supply Chain, R&D, and Corporate Systems and their linkage with the respected Enterprise Data Warehouses, Enterprise Data Lake and business solution environments and tool sets used to provide access to the data for the organization. You will be responsible for : Owner of the Global Master Data Management data landscape. Responsible for continuous assessment and data harmonization of the needs within the organization that support specific needs to optimally drive business objectives. Owner of the Global Master Data Management systems landscape. Responsible for continuous assessment of the needs within the orthopedic organization and leading a managed team and partners to deliver on landscape priorities. Provide Leadership and mentorship to the associates within the Global Master Data Management organization. Ensure that all team members have the necessary technical and business skills to successfully meet their business objectives. Maintain strong working relationships with partners, developing their MDM knowledge and understanding of Global Master Data Management processes and capabilities. Establish / Maintain metrics to help drive process improvements around the respected MDM domains and respective environment Make independent decisions and present process/policy recommendations to Depuy Synthes Information Technologies Leadership. Partner with internal teams to understand requirements definition and gathering for any programs interfacing with the respected Enterprise Data Warehouses, Enterprise Data Lake and business solution environments within areas of responsibility Partner with the internal organization to identify and resolve deficiencies in all aspects of department systems and data capabilities. Responsible for developing and leading systems improvement initiatives across Master Data Management systems to either drive efficiencies or improve performance of operational capability. Maintain high levels of engagement with all Executive Leaders, Directors and Managers to ensure proactive engagement in planning and executing improvement efforts. Lead support of functions with respect to use and understanding of tools to access data in Master Data Management applications inclusive of content education, training and tool development and enhancement. Responsible for communicating related issues or opportunities to next management level. For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable.
