Turbine Mechanical Engineer
Job description
Open Scientific provides contract staffing and direct hire recruitment services for the scientific, engineering, laboratory and manufacturing sectors. The Turbine Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the mechanical design of exhaust support frames and exhaust diffusers Responsibilities - Lead mechanical design of the exhaust support frame - Assembly/interface, support frame, bearing and lubrication system and external casing design - Lead mechanical design of the exhaust diffuser assembly - Strut, diffuser, casing, air and lube system design - Perform the material selection of turbine components - Develop test criteria and methods to validate design Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university - 3-5 years of industrial experience in mechanical design of heavy duty gas turbines - (DESIRED) Master's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university - (DESIRED) Excellent understanding of mechanical design, assembly and manufacturing of gas turbines - (DESIRED) ANSYS, NASTRAN or ABAQUS experience All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
