Lead Building Technology Systems Technician

We are seeking a Facilities Operations Systems Technician III to join our Facilities Operations team, supporting our building automation and ancillary facilities systems in a hands-on, on-site capacity. In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert who keeps our critical building systems optimized, reliable, and ready to support life-changing science while collaborating with Facilities Operations, the ROCC, project teams, and third-party contractors. When & where: Location: Tarrytown, NY Work model/flexibility: On-site Shift Requirements: Available 24/7 for assistance and emergency response Discover your role: As a Technician III, you'll serve as a subject matter expert who keeps our facilities systems running at their best, guiding both the systems and the people around them. You'll lead preventative and corrective maintenance on your assigned systems, documenting all activity along the way You'll program, configure, and troubleshoot building automation controls, keeping graphics and point configurations aligned with site standards You'll partner with the ROCC to manage alarms, reducing nuisance alerts and refining response procedures You'll act as the go-to expert on project teams, making sure design intent, installation, and commissioning come together smoothly You'll create and refine system drawings and sequences of operations, and independently manage small projects from start to finish You'll look for ways to improve existing systems, sharpening usability, energy efficiency, and the quality of data they generate You'll work hands-on with complex building systems and third-party contractors to keep operations running smoothly You'll mentor and help direct the work of other technicians, and bring steady, responsive customer service to every interaction This role requires: High School Diploma required, Associate degree preferred, or 7 years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree 5+ years of experience in building automation, controls, lighting controls, electrical technology, or a related technical systems role, with demonstrable building automation/controls experience Working proficiency with building automation systems (e.g., Johnson Controls Metasys, Siemens, Distech), including programming and graphics tools Exemplary written and oral communication skills, with excellent organizational skills and resourcefulness Superb customer service skills and an aptitude for learning emerging technologies Familiarity with Lutron or Enlighted control systems is a plus undefined Does this sound like you?
