Position Overview
Kymera Therapeutics is seeking an experienced and versatile Manager/Senior Manager, Clinical Outsourcing to join our Clinical Outsourcing team, reporting to the Senior Director, Clinical Outsourcing. The ideal candidate will have several years of prior experience in clinical outsourcing, particularly at the manager or senior manager level, ideally gained within a biopharmaceutical or clinical-stage biotech environment. This role requires a strong background in and understanding of clinical trials across the full outsourcing lifecycle – from RFP development and bid defense through contract negotiation – supporting a portfolio of concurrent Phase 1–3 programs. Prior experience negotiating unit pricing within a preferred-provider CRO model is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, comfortable operating within a small, high-output team, and able to work effectively with stakeholders across the organization, including clinical operations, finance, and legal.
Key Responsibilities
Vendor Negotiations and Contract Management Negotiate and manage contracts, including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and Change Orders.
Oversee the Request for Proposal (RFP) processes, ensuring thorough evaluation and selection of vendors.
Manage all aspects of clinical contracts and change orders throughout the clinical study lifecycle.
Lead negotiations with vendors to secure beneficial contract terms and cost efficiency for Kymera while ensuring project requirements and timelines are met.
Develop and review SOWs in collaboration with legal and finance stakeholders.
Manage vendor selection and contracting across CRO and ancillary vendor categories, including eCOA/ePRO, central laboratory, imaging, IRB, and pharmacovigilance vendors. Budget and Financial Oversight Conduct comparative analysis on vendor budgets to evaluate bids and identify negotiation opportunities.
Negotiate beneficial payment schedules and terms.
Track study and project budgets, including monitoring actuals and identifying variances.
Collaborate closely with finance for budgeting and forecasting.
Prepare comparative budget analyses to support senior leadership vendor-award decisions.
Ensure financial accountability by managing budgets, tracking expenses, and providing regular financial reports. Cross-Functional Collaboration Attend study team meetings and interact with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure appropriate specifications and scope are included in agreements.
Collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization, including finance and legal, to ensure smooth communication and effective project management. Other Manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Foster long-term working relationships with Kymera vendors.
Deliver projects on time and within budget, ensuring high standards of quality and compliance.
Understand and manage the complexities of clinical trials, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and financial tracking.
Lead and manage special initiatives in support of the clinical outsourcing function to support continuous improvement. Qualifications 5–7 years' experience within clinical outsourcing or a closely related clinical operations role (Manager level); 8+ years for consideration at the Senior Manager level.
Demonstrated track record of effective pricing and contract negotiations.
Strong ability to work with stakeholders across the organization, including finance and legal teams.
Excellent project management skills, with a history of on-time project delivery.
Solid understanding of clinical trials and the processes involved in clinical outsourcing.
Proven experience in negotiating and managing contracts, including MSAs, SOWs, and Change Orders.
Experience in managing RFP processes and leading special initiatives.
Strong financial management skills, with the ability to manage budgets and track expenses effectively.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
Experience within a biopharmaceutical or clinical-stage biotech environment strongly preferred.
Experience with Central Laboratory Services contracting is preferred.
Comfort preparing financial analyses and materials for senior/executive leadership audiences.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $160,000 – $240,000, with eligibility
