As an ISS Product Integrations Leader, you will be trusted to drive the integration of Alcon products into the Intelligent Service Solutions ecosystem, with accountability for connectivity, interoperability, onboarding, launch readiness, and technical transfer. This role is the primary ISS interface to Product R&D, Global Franchise teams, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Product Support Engineers, Global Services Change Management, and service organizations. The leader defines requirements, guides implementation, validates supportability, and ensures launches are ready for global service execution. This role is located at Alcon’s Lake Forest, CA office. In this role, a typical day will include: Requirements, onboarding, and development guidance Own ISS connectivity and interoperability requirements, governance, documentation, and approval flow. Partner with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Product Security, IT, Product Support, and Franchise teams to translate service needs into clear requirements, acceptance criteria, and implementation guidance. Lead product onboarding for AVS Devices and related ISS capabilities, including roadmap, dependencies, risks, and readiness status. Launch readiness, technical transfer, and change management Define and provide ISS launch readiness deliverables, including approved requirements, documentation, validation evidence, UAT outcomes, service procedures, training content, and technical-transfer materials. Maintain evidence-of-acceptance packages and coordinate readiness reviews that support go or no-go launch decisions. Lead technical transfer and knowledge synchronization with Global and Regional Services, Product Support Engineering, education, and operational support teams. Serve as the ISS point of contact for Global Services Change Management, translating field feedback and operational impacts into prioritized requirements or release recommendations. Service validation, investigation support, and continuous improvement Design and lead service dry runs, customer scenarios, and operational validation for installation, registration, data transfer, remote access, software deployment, troubleshooting, recovery, and escalation workflows. Partner with QA, validation, R&D, and Product Support Engineers to document results, resolve defects, investigate complex issues, and verify corrective actions with corresponding preventive measures. Maintain integration guides, troubleshooting content, readiness checklists, and lessons learned; update standards and metrics to reduce recurring launch and service gaps. WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON: Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+0 yrs) The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English 5 Years of Relevant Experience Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, IT, Biomedical Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience acceptable. Product integration, connected products, medical device software, interoperability, systems engineering, technical service, validation, or related discipline. Proven ability to lead global, cross-functional work across product development, quality, regulatory, service, and technology organizations. Strong technical depth in connectivity, cloud-to-device communication, APIs/interfaces, networking, security, data transfer, testing, and support workflows. Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder-management, decision documentation, and executive-ready presentation skills. Experience in regulated medical device or healthcare technology environments, including quality-system documentation, design controls, risk management, software lifecycle practices, verification/validation, and regulatory evidence expectations. Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards such as DICOM, HL7, and FHIR, plus IoT/edge connectivity, gateways, device agents, authentication, remote access, software updates, and machine-data workflows. Knowledge of ISS and AVS ecosystem capabilities such as ASC, ACA, ADC, ISCP, Rule Studio, AVS DNA, AVS HUB, and related product integrations. Creates clarity, owns outcomes, aligns teams across organizational boundaries, influences without authority, escalates risks early, and maintains a strong customer and patient focus.
