GT Layout Design Engineer

Open Scientific provides contract staffing and direct hire recruitment services for the scientific, engineering, laboratory and manufacturing sectors. The Senior GT Design Engineer will be responsible for the development of the overall gas turbine layout design and component integration Responsibilities - Perform the overall GT layout design with component layout design engineers - Lead technical systems integration between various gas turbine designs - Participate in risk assessments and root-cause investigations for gas turbine systems - Issue and revise Engineering Bills of Material - Prepare/review design sketches, layouts, schematics, 3D models and drawings as part of a design team - Perform necessary clearance calculations to ensure quality fit and function of turbine components Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university - 15+ years of experience with gas/steam turbines - 15+ years of experience in gas turbine layout design - Highly proficient in one of more computational modeling/interactive graphic tools such as NX, CATIA, UG (NX preferred) - (DESIRED) Master's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university - (DESIRED) Mechanical design and detailed knowledge of gas turbines (hot gas component design experience preferred) All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
