Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech We are looking for a motivated Sales Consultant to join our Joints Reconstruction team and drive sales within Flanders (Central). In this key role, you will identify, qualify, and cultivate new sales opportunities while executing our Joint Reconstruction strategy to achieve impressive sales growth. You establish contacts with key opinion leaders, surgeons, nurses, operating management, pharmacists, purchase departments and other stakeholders in the hospital. Professional education is a key element that drives our business. Being present in the operating theatre is therefore a crucial part of your task. Your key responsibilities: Take full ownership of your territory and assigned hospital accounts, define a growth plan for the year for your territory and meet defined targets in terms of profitable sales volume and strategic objectives Actively assess, clarify and validate (potential) customer needs on an ongoing basis to acquire new business opportunities in Joint Reconstruction & robotics and accelerate conversions Shape the market in the context of tenders or robotic deals in close collaboration with customers and internal stakeholders; translate insights into actions that challenge the status quo and that reinforce what differentiates us Establish productive, professional relationships with key customers (Orthopaedic surgeons, nurses, operating management, pharmacists, professional associations, and purchase departments) and provide compliant technical assistance in the Operating Room for total hip & knee replacement surgeries Closely collaborate with the internal J&J team (including Joint Reconstruction sales team members, other Orthopaedics sales team, Surgery sales teams, marketing team, supply chain, education team, etc.) and coordinate the involvement of all internal partners to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations Dare to do things differently aligned with Credo-based decision-making Attend congresses / symposia to promote and support the visibility around the company’s solutions Maintain detailed knowledge of our portfolio, competitive products and have in-depth understanding of the J&J offering in the customer environment Qualifications Required: to be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident on your resume. Growth mindset Highly ethical attitude Experience working in a matrix / corporate environment Degree in (para)medical field, economics, management or equal by experience Ability to work with tools like Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sales force, etc. Excellent verbal and written skills in Dutch; good use of English Living in the area of Brussels, Ghent or Antwerp Valid driving license Preferred: Ability to interact meaningfully and successfully with surgeons At least 2 years of sales experience within the Orthopedics medical devices sector External network and knowledge about Flemish Hip & Knee / orthopedic market
