Job Description The Future Begins Here At Takeda, we are leading digital evolution and global transformation. By building innovative solutions and future-ready capabilities, we are meeting the need of patients, our people, and the planet. Bengaluru, the city, which is India’s epicenter of Innovation, has been selected to be home to Takeda’s recently launched Innovation Capability Center. We invite you to join our digital transformation journey. In this role, you will have the opportunity to boost your skills and become the heart of an innovative engine that is contributing to global impact and improvement. At Takeda’s ICC we Unite in Diversity Takeda is committed to creating an inclusive and collaborative workplace, where individuals are recognized for their backgrounds and abilities they bring to our company. We are continuously improving our collaborators journey in Takeda, and we welcome applications from all qualified candidates. Here, you will feel welcomed, respected, and valued as an important contributor to our diverse team OBJECTIVES / PURPOSE We are seeking an Associate Director to lead the GCC Commercial Insights & Analytics (I&A) teams supporting two US business units (USBU) within Takeda. This is a hands-on people-leadership role accountable for the quality, consistency, and business impact of all analytics delivered across the two BUs. Both Managers and Analysts report into this role. The Associate Director coaches and guides the team through their day-to-day work, ensures accountability for all deliverables, owns the analytics relationship with US I&A leadership for both BUs, and remains willing and able to be hands-on in the analysis when the situation requires. Own end-to-end analytics delivery across two US business units, ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery of brand and portfolio analytics while holding the team accountable for every deliverable. Lead a team of both Managers and Analysts — coaching and guiding them through their work, reviewing outputs, unblocking issues, and stepping in hands-on on complex or high-visibility analyses when required. Serve as the senior GCC analytics partner to US I&A leadership for both BUs, owning demand intake, prioritization, delivery governance, and executive communication across the two BUs in scope. Govern the operating model and ways of working across the two BUs, ensuring consistency, rigor, and predictable delivery across teams. ACCOUNTABILITIES Multi-BU Delivery Oversight & Quality Governance Own the quality, timeliness, and commercial relevance of all analytics delivered across the two BUs — performance reporting, HCP targeting and segmentation, patient opportunity assessments, launch readiness analytics, and complex ad hoc deep dives across the BUs' brands. Set and enforce analytical standards and review frameworks across both teams, ensuring consistent methodological rigor, data accuracy, narrative quality, and stakeholder readiness before US review; be hands-on to arbitrate or execute the most complex analyses when needed. Balance capacity and prioritization across the two BUs and their workstreams, resolving contention and reallocating effort to protect the highest-value, highest-urgency deliverables. Stakeholder Management & Operating-Model Governance Act as the senior point of contact for US I&A leadership across both BUs, managing demand intake, setting and meeting delivery commitments, and proactively communicating status, risks, and trade-offs. Represent GCC analytics in the BUs' US I&A planning sessions, quarterly business reviews, and cross-functional analytics forums, ensuring GCC contributions are visible, trusted, and commercially relevant. Establish and continuously improve the operating model between the GCC teams and their US I&A counterparts — intake, prioritization, SLAs, escalation paths, and communication norms — and drive adoption across both BUs. People Leadership, Coaching & Accountability Lead a team of 4-6 direct reports spanning Managers and Analysts, with indirect oversight of the broader analyst population across both BUs; set clear goals, conduct regular one-on-ones, provide substantive feedback, and build individualized development plans. Coach and guide the team through their work — shaping analytical approach, reviewing deliverables, and developing problem-solving and stakeholder skills — while holding every team member accountable for the quality and timeliness of their output. Develop Managers into stronger people leaders, coaching them on delivery governance, stakeholder management, and team development, and building leadership bench strength across the two BUs. Own workforce planning, hiring, and talent development for both BUs' analytics teams, including interview-panel leadership, onboarding, performance management, and retention of critical talent. Process Improvement & Operational Excellence Champion automation and efficiency across recurring reporting workflows, sponsoring SQL- and Python-based pipelines and dashboard automation that reduce manual effort and improve reliability. Rationalize the reporting portfolio across both BUs on a regular basis, consolidating, automating, or retiring deliverables in alignment with evolving brand-team priorities. Lead Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT), insourcing, and transition initiatives for the two BUs, standing up and stabilizing new analytics workstreams within the GCC while sustaining delivery quality. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Education: Bachelor's Degree required in Statistics, Data Science, Life Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field; advanced degree (Master's or MBA) in Analytics, Data Science, Business, or a related field strongly preferred. Experience: 12-15 years of progressive experience in US pharmaceutical commercial analytics, including substantial people-leadership experience managing both managers and analysts across multiple teams. Demonstrated track record of owning end-to-end analytics delivery for multiple business units, driving accountability across teams, and remaining hands-on in the analysis when required. Deep knowledge of US pharma commercial datasets: patient-level claims (IQVIA, Komodo Health, Symphony Health), specialty pharmacy (867), EMR, sales data, and access/payer data is required. Strong hands-on proficiency in coding techniques such as SQL, SAS, R, or Python for data manipulation and workflow automation; advanced Excel required. Strong experience with Tableau or Power BI for performance, launch, and brand analytics dashboard development; experience with Databricks or cloud-based analytics environments is preferred. Proven experience leading Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT), insourcing, or transition initiatives in a GCC, captive, or offshore delivery model supporting US/Global stakeholders is strongly preferred.
